Exploring Life & Business with Demetrius Baker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Demetrius Baker.

Demetrius, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Demetrius Baker. I’ve had a strong drive for fitness ever since I was a young kid watching my dad consistently stay dedicated to his craft in the gym, his career and with his family. I grew up wanting a career in law enforcement. Realizing that was not my calling… I ask God for my calling. And group fitness for women was the first thing to come to mind. I also have a photography business as well.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It his been extremely tough, losing money on certain investments. Also, having to develop extreme time management, self-discipline, concentration skills. My dad also past away about three months of my entrepreneurial venture. But I’m super proud of the man I am becoming. Being an entrepreneur, you have to feel the lows before you can feel the highs and I’m feeling the lows now. But that means the Highs are coming!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The name of my business is Apex Aesthetics. Apex aesthetics stands for becoming better physically, mentally and spiritually. And to constantly continuing A journey of self-improvement. As a former Division I athlete and the Travis County sheriff’s office agency record holder for combat fitness. I specialize in building athletic body’s! I’m known for Austin Glute🍑Camp.

I believe my camp is different in the sense that I hope you build an athletic body faster than most camps. I believe I give women the body that they want, not the body that they think they want. I believe my is different from the way women feel afterwards. After each of my classes, I see them on my social media and they seem happier and intern more confident, which makes them feel more attractive. I think for me seeing people go from unconfident to confident and already confident to super confident is amazing to me and it’s something that you can’t put a price on. And I’m pretty sure once people catch on it’s going global.

I offer Boot Camp classes Monday, Wednesday Friday at 7:00 AM and Saturdays at 9:00 AM. Due to the summer heat, I may offer 6:00 pm when the temperature drops.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I learned that you should tell your people. How you really feel about them. Don’t get so caught up in life; live in the moment, have gratitude every morning for life. And there can only be one you so do you to the fullest… Because life is short
