Today we’d like to introduce you to Corina Corbeille, RN, CANS. She and her team share their story with us below:
Corina Corbeille, RN, CANS is a Registered Nurse and Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist by the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses. She has been in medical aesthetics in Beverly Hills and Austin for 20+ years. With numerous certifications, TV/radio airtime, magazine publications, and in 2017, recognized as a “RealSelf Most Loved Injector”, she is a true artist creating natural-looking results! Corina has a passion for educating her clients, customizing full face care plans, and enhancing one’s own natural beauty in a safe and professional environment. She believes the experience is just as important as creating the results.
While practicing at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles in 2004, she was recruited by celebrity plastic surgeon Raj Kanodia, MD, FACS as a senior cosmetic/surgical nurse. Her training with Raj Kanodia, MD, FACS functioned as a fellowship in aesthetics. Equipped with this skillset she transitioned her practice to Austin, Texas in 2012, specializing in cosmetic treatments. Corina’s artistic approach to full face rejuvenation is second to none and she continues to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Her mission is to create self care goals that are attainable and accessible to everyone. Creating anti-aging care plans as part of our daily beauty routines, allows us to take full advantage of reversing, maintaining, and preventing all aspects of the aging process. Injecting with an element of creativity and artistry, now therein lies the ART!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say anything in life is a smooth road. We always have a plan, but then somehow, life takes a turn and throws you onto a different path. When I was younger, I wanted to become a doctor. Then as an adult, while working in Beverly Hills, I was accepted into the Nurse Practitioner program at UCLA School of Nursing, which I turned down to work in plastic surgery full time. I definitely had a different path mapped out for myself, I never even imagined I would be living in Austin, Texas at this point in my life. Challenges in life help us to develop perseverance, persistence and grit. If I would have listened to certain people along the way who tried to steer my career path, I probably wouldn’t be where I’m at today as a female Founder & CEO of The Art Of Anti-Aging, a brand-new medical aesthetics practice in Austin, Texas. Always follow your gut instincts, stay true to who you are and follow your dreams!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
The role of “good luck” has definitely played a part in my entire life. Being in the right place at the right time which allowed an introduction to key people who have been a huge part in my career development. Networking has been vital to my career advancement. But life is not all about good or bad luck, it’s about never taking no for an answer, developing personal goals, being consistent, staying motivated, driven and determined no matter what roadblocks life inserts. I actually welcome challenges, it allows room for self-growth.
