Meet Patricia Sheppard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Sheppard.

Hi Patricia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always loved art, photography specifically. I studied photography at Oklahoma State Okmugee but stopped taking pictures for many years, that’s until I met the love of my life Tiffany Rankin in 2020.

She encouraged me to pickup photography again, we’ve since started a fine art business called wickeddual.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I was definitely derailed by my family in college about their fears of me going into the arts. I ended up changing my major and graduating with a teaching degree because in my parent’s terms, it would be more practical to not be a starving artist.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I was introduced to Ansel Adams work by my photography professor and fell in love with nature, black and white photography.

I’m most proud of sharing a business with my partner. I never in a million years thought that I would have my own art business.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters the most to me is family and nature. Why because it helps me be the most creative.
