Today we’d like to introduce you to Keanu Scott
Hi Keanu , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Long story short, I started writing in High school around 2011 but I didn’t start officially recording until the end of 2013. Since then, I’ve been finding my delivery and perfecting my word play through different cadences. I have also been apart of a few collectives/groups along the way and have been performing on various stages since 2014.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some days it seems rough, but overall I know that I’m only getting what I put into my music. As far as struggles, I have mainly came across people that can’t deliver in the end, so I find it hard to fully put my trust in some other “creatives”
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well I am an Artist first, I produce my own sound, I also enjoy being an engineer for myself and other artists. As far as music goes, the things that sets me apart from others is the fact that I love music and it’s not something that I just do to look cool or make a lot of money off of. I have goals with my music and I’m more into the scientific side of sound. I’m not interested in just making “noise” at the end of the day.
What makes you happy?
Freedom, being able to enjoy life without worry is the best feeling in the world no matter where I am in life.
