Today we’d like to introduce you to Eve Serfaty
Hi Eve, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey as a food content creator began back in high school when I discovered a love for food photography. At the time, I was simply taking photos of food I enjoyed. As I explored different restaurants and cuisines, my passion for showcasing food through photos grew, and I decided to create a dedicated food account called eatinwitheve.
Over the years, my page has evolved beyond just photos. I started creating videos, reviewing restaurants, and sharing my experiences with a larger audience. What began as a hobby turned into something much bigger, with my account gaining traction and followers who appreciated my perspective on food and dining experiences.
Now, I continue to develop my content, posting about restaurants primarily in Austin and NYC, as well as working with brands ranging from CPG, lifestyle and health & wellness. I am excited to expand my platform and continue to collaborate with dream brands and meet creative/ inspiring people in the space!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest struggles is balancing work, and maintaining consistent content for my page. When I first started, I was just doing it for fun, but as my account grew, so did the expectations I placed on myself. It can be hard to keep up with the demand of regular posting, staying creative, and engaging with followers, all the while managing life’s responsibilities.
Another challenge has been navigating the world of social media algorithms, which can be unpredictable. Sometimes, posts don’t perform as expected, despite putting in so much time and effort. It took a lot of learning and adjusting to stay relevant in a constantly changing space.
But through it all, I’ve learned to enjoy the process, embrace the ups and downs, and stay focused on my passion for food and storytelling!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In addition to being a content creator, I work full time at Braze which is a marketing software company where I recently joined the Sales team. I was eager to try something new and found it to be a great fit because of the fast-paced environment and social atmosphere. What I enjoy most is the office culture—being around my coworkers energizes me, and I thrive in a collaborative setting where we can share ideas and support one another.
I’m proud of how quickly I’ve adapted to a new industry and the strong relationships I’ve built. What sets me apart is my background in creative work. My experience in content creation has helped me approach sales with a fresh perspective, focusing on storytelling and connection, which allows me to engage with people in a unique way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has definitely played a role in my journey, both good and bad, but the motto I always live by is that “Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent of what you make of it.” I’ve had moments of good fortune—like meeting the right people at just the right time or having content take off unexpectedly, which helped me gain visibility and open doors I didn’t expect.
However, I’ve also faced challenges that tested my resilience. A couple years ago, I took a trip to Big Bend National Park with friends, where I took a spill while hiking and ended up with 20 stitches in my leg. This injury meant I couldn’t participate in the half marathon I had been training months for.
It was definitely upsetting, but I used that setback to refocus my energy on other things. Six months later, I was able to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon with my friend. That experience taught me the importance of perseverance and adaptability, reminding me that while luck can influence our paths, it’s our response to life’s challenges that truly shapes our journey.
