Today we’d like to introduce you to Wini Griffin
Hi Wini, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a naturally curious person, always eager to explore new ideas and experiences. Whenever I feel the urge to learn something new or try something different, and I have the resources to do so, I dive right in.
My journey began as a teen mom, navigating the complexities of early marriage without fully understanding what it entailed at just 18. From there, I transitioned into the role of a single mother, working tirelessly to earn a Bachelor’s degree. I climbed the employment ladder, eventually leaping into entrepreneurship as a mindset and transformation coach. After semi-retiring from my coaching business, I began serving in the United States Armed Forces, and financial services industry where I help individuals similar to myself plan for a healthier more long-lasting financial future. Each step has been a process of trial and error, driven by my desire to discover what truly works for me.
One of the principles I’ve lived by is: “If it doesn’t work and I can’t fix it or find someone who can help me fix it, I’ll leave it behind and move on.” This mindset has opened doors to opportunities and roles that many women like myself might not think are accessible or within their reach. It’s this blend of curiosity and resilience that has shaped my journey and brought me to where I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh God, no! It’s been quite the opposite. My path has been full of challenges, especially as a first-generation achiever in my family. I’ve often found myself in uncharted territory, learning as I go and uncovering truths about myself and others that weren’t part of any formal education.
One of the greatest challenges I’ve faced has been learning to delay gratification for the sake of long-term success. In hindsight, I can admit that I once lived quite irresponsibly, prioritizing instant pleasure over future gains. This affected every aspect of my life, from my faith and family relationships to my finances, personal health, and overall joy. While I’ve managed to reach a stable point in many of these areas, my earlier approach often felt misaligned with my true desires. Too often, I found myself chasing goals that were more about maintaining an image rather than genuinely fulfilling what I wanted for my life.
We’ve been impressed with Elevated Community , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey has always been about helping others connect authentically and build a life that aligns with what they truly want in this life. Through my coaching business, Elevated Community, I specialized in guiding people toward genuine transformation by fostering environments where they could be seen, heard, and understood. However, as I transition into the next chapter of my career, I’m excited to bring that same spirit into the financial services industry.
I recently obtained my license to produce life and health insurance in Texas and now focus on helping families secure their financial futures through these mediums. What sets me apart is my belief that business and family are interconnected—strong businesses operate like healthy families, and resilient families benefit from the structure of a well-run business. I bring this philosophy into my work, helping clients understand how to leverage their strengths, set clear goals, and protect what matters most to them.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is freedom and access to a broad range of resources. My ancestors came from a history of indentured servitude and slavery before they established themselves in freedom colonies, where they became entrepreneurs who did for themselves, often defying the status quo of what success was supposed to look like. This legacy of resilience and self-reliance deeply influences my values today.
However, I’ve also experienced a life where that hard-earned freedom seems to be gradually stripped away, hidden behind the expectations of modern life. Society often dictates that to be considered useful or successful, you must own a nice home, drive fancy cars, wear certain brands, attend specific schools, hold particular jobs, and earn a specific income. I’ve found myself caught in this loop of conformity—where freedom becomes restricted by societal norms—and it can be incredibly draining.
True freedom isn’t just the ability to make choices; it’s having the resources—whether financial, educational, emotional, or social—that allow us to pursue those choices fully. My experience has shown me that real freedom comes from building a life that reflects who you are, supported by the right people + resources, and free from the pressures of societal conformity. It’s essential to have supportive systems, both people and processes, that enable us to grow and thrive, allowing us to live lives that we can be truly proud of.
