Daily Inspiration: Meet Chloe Marrazzo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Marrazzo

Hi Chloe , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my journey as an instructor with a painting company, which allowed me the flexibility to choose my events as requests came in. I traveled throughout Austin, Georgetown, Round Rock, and Cedar Park to lead painting classes. Although the company provided little formal training, my basic painting skills served as a solid foundation. Over time, I practiced, honed my craft, and gained the confidence to lead groups of all ages, from children to adults.

My background in hospitality equipped me with the tools to deliver excellent customer service and adapt to various needs and requests, which proved invaluable in this role. As I grew more comfortable, I realized I had numerous ideas for activities and techniques for painting events and decided to bring them to life. I started hosting painting sessions for my coworkers in outdoor spaces like parks, eventually expanding these gatherings to include the broader community.

Now, on the third Monday of every month, I host a donation-based painting event at Butler Metro Park, open to anyone who registers online. With the holiday season approaching, I’m excited to plan a few special events in downtown hotels this December.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting my own painting event company came with its share of challenges. One of the biggest obstacles was finding effective ways to advertise and get the word out. Without a large budget, it was hard to consistently reach new audiences. Cancellations also became a recurring issue, along with occasional scheduling conflicts, which added to the uncertainty of the business. Additionally, I was navigating the process of setting up a legitimate company and figuring out the legal and administrative steps to establish myself as a sole proprietor—all while balancing a full-time job and a side gig.

It was a constant juggling act, especially since making time for my own creativity was essential. Painting is my outlet, and without dedicating time to create for myself, I felt as though the day had been wasted. However, this self-discipline and passion pushed me to keep moving forward. Once I officially established my company, I gained confidence in the potential for future opportunities. Slowly but surely, I built a foundation that allowed me to dream bigger and explore new avenues for growth, turning challenges into stepping stones toward success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in creating large-scale textured artwork and painting with acrylic and oil. When I’m on the go or don’t have access to my complete painting setup, I use Adobe and Procreate to create digital art. My work is characterized by bold colors, textures, and my ability to seamlessly transition between traditional and digital mediums.

What I take the most pride in is my capacity to learn and grow through experimentation and trial and error. This process has not only helped me develop as an artist, but it has also shaped me into a creative leader. I am passionate about finding innovative and enjoyable ways to bring people together through art, ensuring that my events are inclusive and stress-free for everyone.

What sets me apart is my unique blend of hospitality, event planning, and creativity. I combine these skills to create community-focused art experiences where individuals can connect, create, and unwind. My approach ensures that art is accessible, enjoyable, and tailored to the participants, making each event a memorable and meaningful experience.
