Life & Work with Mad Party of San Marcos TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mad Party

Hi Mad, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The band initially started in 2023 with Donny and I (Matty) Donny had the idea to start a band called “DD Bomb” we had already been working together for 4 years starting a bunch of bands and decided we were gonna really go for it so I packed up my life in Arizona and decided to come back I went through a period of self homelessness where I came back got a job to save for my own place and to simultaneously work on the band we then were joined by our current bassist who was our guitarist LL who answered a ad we put out back in 2021 for a old band and then we got our former bassist Dr J who Donny met through a friend then We added our guitarist Izzy who really helped put the bands sound together it all kinda fell into place at the perfect time and we went together very well and started working on our music for months until we were finally able to release our first single bulls of red in August and then have our first show in September and have had 3 since

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not the easiest for sure you know we wanted to go as hard as possible and you have to be able to work as a unit and work around everyone’s schedules and we’ve had to deal with a few member losses and issues in trying to get gigs and things like that but we always made it work

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We make punk/post punk music that I believe sets us apart by the way we present ourselves how we go about crafting our sound and how our live shows are, the craziness in them is what i believe makes us different from others

What are your plans for the future?
Future plans are to make as much music as we can til we get signed and are able to make a debut album and hopefully create a scene in San Marcos that makes it a hotspot for music with Austin and San Antonio connecting the scenes
