Two years ago, during a drive, I was brainstorming with my mentor and friend, Dr. Ilyas Iyoob, a data scientist with a knack for innovation. We wanted to come up with a business idea that could be started with zero-dollar investment. That’s when the idea for TechPfix was born.
We kicked off our journey as an onsite mobile repair service in Austin, repairing phones right where customers needed us. I’ll never forget our first repair—I used my own car as a mobile workstation to fix an iPhone. It was a humble beginning, but one filled with determination, excitement, and a clear vision.
Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted repair shop offering services for cell phones, tablets, laptops, and gaming consoles. We’ve expanded from onsite repairs to a physical location in Pflugerville, always staying true to our commitment to quality and customer care. Along the way, we’ve celebrated milestones like gaining 370+ five-star Google reviews and helping countless customers keep their devices running smoothly.

Our journey at TechPfix has been anything but smooth—it’s been filled with challenges that tested our resilience and determination. Starting with zero-dollar investment, we began as an onsite mobile repair service, using my personal car as our first “workshop on wheels.” As the business grew, we invested in a dedicated vehicle for onsite repairs, which felt like a big step forward.
However, life threw us an unexpected curveball—a crash left the vehicle totaled, and we lost all our tools in the process. It was a devastating moment. With no vehicle and limited resources, we had to regroup and rethink how to move forward.
Determined not to give up, we shifted into a small office space and started rebuilding the business from scratch. It wasn’t easy, but we used every setback as motivation to keep going. Slowly but surely, we regained our footing, expanded our services, and earned the trust of our community. and also small businesses.
Today, we’re proud to operate from a retail location, offering a full range of repair services and a growing selection of refurbished devices. B2B Services for our competitors and Local small Businesses and Schools. Those tough times taught us invaluable lessons about perseverance, adaptability, and the power of staying focused on our mission. Each challenge has shaped TechPfix into the trusted business it is today, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing customers.
