Today we’d like to introduce you to Angel Gallegos
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Dos Cuernos Tequila started as more than just an idea—it was a vision shared between me, Peter Trevino, and Sylvester Palacios. We weren’t just looking to create another tequila; we wanted something that truly represented who we are—our roots, our friendships, and the moments that matter.
From the beginning, we knew quality was everything. That meant going straight to the source—Jalisco, Mexico—where we found the right partners to craft a tequila that’s 100% blue agave, smooth, and bold, just like the brand we were building. The name Dos Cuernos came naturally. It’s a symbol of strength and resilience, a reflection of the journey we took to bring this brand to life.
Starting a tequila company wasn’t easy, but we poured everything into it—countless hours, late-night calls, and a relentless drive to make something we could stand behind with pride. Now, seeing people enjoy Dos Cuernos, sharing it with friends and family, reminds me exactly why we started.
This isn’t just a tequila; it’s a celebration of hard work, connection, and legacy. And we’re just getting started.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting Dos Cuernos Tequila was an exciting journey, but it came with its fair share of challenges. From the beginning, capital was a major hurdle. Unlike some brands backed by big investors, we were building this from the ground up, which meant every dollar had to be strategically invested—from securing the right distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, to designing a premium bottle that stood out on shelves.
Then came licensing and regulations—a complex and time-consuming process. Getting everything in place, from TTB approvals to state and federal distribution permits, required patience, legal expertise, and a willingness to navigate a system that isn’t always friendly to new brands. Every step had to be perfect because one mistake could mean costly delays.
Managing inventory was another learning curve. Balancing supply and demand, making sure we had enough bottles produced without overextending financially, and coordinating with distributors to get Dos Cuernos into the right markets—it all took careful planning. There were times when demand spiked, and we had to work fast to keep up, but we refused to cut corners on quality.
Despite these challenges, we stayed focused on our vision. We learned to be resourceful, patient, and relentless, and every obstacle only made us more determined. Dos Cuernos Tequila isn’t just another spirit—it’s the result of grit, passion, and the belief that great things come to those who refuse to give up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
With over 15 years of experience in both recruiting and real estate, my career has been built on connecting people with opportunities—whether it’s placing the right talent in the right role or helping clients find the perfect property.
In recruiting, I’ve spent years identifying top talent, managing large-scale hiring processes, and ensuring businesses have the workforce they need to succeed. From construction and skilled trades to corporate hiring, I’ve navigated the complexities of workforce planning, immigration programs like H2B and EB-3, and the challenges of hiring for roles that require extensive travel.
In real estate, I’ve helped individuals and businesses buy, sell, and invest in properties, primarily in the Central Texas market. Whether it’s negotiating contracts, understanding market trends, or helping clients make smart investment decisions, I’ve developed a deep knowledge of the industry and a strong network of relationships.
