Inspiring Conversations with Celeste Tercero of The Charcuterie Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste Tercero

Hi Celeste , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Being raised in a large family who had a love for food, I soon grew a passion to create a form of art within the realm of food that also met my standards of quality. After graduation, I knew I wanted to step into a creative side of the food industry that didn’t meet the typical idea of catering. Seeing the happiness and unity that food was able to create, I wanted to bring that feeling to my customers. Charcuterie was the perfect balance of everything that also would draw people together. I started in the small town of Georgetown and only expanded from there.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been many up and downs in the last 2.5 years. Running a business solo and self teaching myself not only the art, but the financial and organizational sides of it definitely presented its obstacles primarily in the first 6months-1st year. I have had incredible support which has allowed for a much smoother road in the last year and a half creating a new sense of confidence with every event.

We’ve been impressed with The Charcuterie Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My goal is to create boards and grazing tables that feel unique and genuine to the desires of my customer. Not one of my tables or cups are the same and each of them cater to what the customer envisions. Each fresh ingredient that I use is chosen with care and reflects what my business is about. I believe what sets me apart the most is why my clients continue to return- not only is the booking process smooth and efficient, they feel as if something was crafted for them specifically and not just another client checked off.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I am hoping to see my business continue to grow into one of central texas’s most genuine yet popular catering service. A long term goal of mine is to eventually open a storefront here in the Austin area where people can come in to smoothly book a grazing table, have a sit down experience to eat charcuterie boards, and even host workshops. One of my more short term goals that is in the works for this year is beginning a blog even catering to up and coming business owners. It will feature local and national business owners with their greatest advice.

Pricing:

  • Grazing Tables $15 per person
  • Charcuterie Cups $10 per cup
