For 21 years, Katy served with dedication in the United States Air Force, spending the last nine as a Medical Logistics Planner. Her role required precision, problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex operations under pressure. Whether ensuring life-saving supplies reached their destinations or coordinating logistics for medical teams, Katy thrived in the fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
As she approached retirement, Katy began searching for her next mission. She wanted to continue using her planning expertise but in a way that felt more personal—something that brought joy to others. Since 2005, she and her husband, Richard, had been immersed in the wedding industry as photographers, capturing countless love stories through their lenses.
Then, in 2018, while photographing a wedding, they encountered a bride without a planner. As the day unfolded, Katy instinctively stepped in—coordinating vendors, managing the timeline, and ensuring every detail was handled. Watching the event come together seamlessly, she realized that wedding planning was a natural extension of her skills. It was just like logistics planning, but instead of medical supplies, she was orchestrating love stories. Weddings required adaptability, precise execution, and the ability to stay calm under pressure—all things she had mastered in the Air Force.
That experience sparked something in Katy. She began planning more weddings, each one reinforcing how naturally the role fit her. With Richard’s unwavering support, she decided to turn her newfound passion into a full-time business in 2021. But when it came time to name her company, she wanted something deeply meaningful. She thought of her late mother, who had always been her biggest supporter. Her mother lovingly called her “Katy G,” short for Kathryn Geneva—a name filled with warmth and encouragement. In tribute, Katy Gee Consultants LLC was born.
Richard, ever the supportive partner, didn’t hesitate to join her in this new venture. With his keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills, he became an essential part of the business, serving as a Coordinator Assistant at every event. Together, they made the perfect team—Katy, leading with her strategic vision and Richard assisting and ensuring every element was executed smoothly.
Word has quickly spread about Katy’s ability to turn wedding day chaos into seamless, stress-free celebrations. Couples admire her calm demeanor, meticulous planning, and military precision. Vendors respect her professionalism, and clients trust her completely.

I’m known for my calm, strategic approach and transforming potential wedding day chaos into seamless celebrations. My husband, Richard, is my partner and serves as a Coordinator Assistant at every event, ensuring that each element is executed perfectly. Our ability to merge military-grade precision with the creative, personal touch required to bring love stories to life sets us apart.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the joy I bring to their special days. For me, every wedding is not just an event—it’s a unique, magical moment that we honor with our dedication and passion.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I enjoy listening to audio books on Pocket Fm. Mostly romantic stories of course. I stay up to date with the Wedding Industry by going to wedding shows. conventions and staying up to date on my certifications.
