Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinthia Padilla.
Hi Cinthia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my professional career at the age of 16 when I was still in school. Once I finished school I began my studies as an esthetician and trained myself over the years. I arrived in Austin and as a Colombian immigrant I had many challenges at the beginning, language, culture and finding a way to continue doing what I am passionate about. So I put the engines in motion, I decided to start studying different aesthetic studies in the United States and learn the language, after a lot of work and study I was finally able to obtain all the permits and licenses I needed to be able to operate as a medspa where we receive all the people and especially the Latin community that was in need of this confident space where they could have their trusted treatments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been an easy road, but passion is the engine that drives my life, and my profession is what I am truly passionate about. In this country my family and I have found the opportunities and security that we did not have in our country.
I started delivery,working from home, in my apartment, and little by little I saved up to pay for my studies and credentials to climb the ladder until I could have my own spa to be able to work in a more professional way.
Perhaps the most difficult step for me, the one that took the most time and study and work, being a single mother without a family in this country, was being able to have the order to become a medspa. Between appointments and treatments, I must work hard to continue being the professional who identifies me but also being a responsible mother, who takes and picks up her son from school, extracurricular activities and medical appointments, but it is gratifying for me at the end of the day that my son not only sees a good committed mother but also a professional passionate about her profession.
The passion, the love for my son, for God and for my profession have given me the resilience to be able to have the tools and achieve my goals.

How do you think about happiness?
I am happy to have the satisfaction of a happy patient who is satisfied with my work, who speaks well of my work, and to meet people who come to me thanks to those recommendations because it makes me feel that I am giving my best and that I am doing things the right way.
