Today we’d like to introduce you to Beyond Grooming Michelle McWatters
Michelle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I, Michelle McWatters, owner of Beyond Grooming have been connected to animals since a young child and was very active in the junior human society throughout middle school. I planned on being a vet but in a high school medical program, I quickly realized the medical field wasn’t for me. At 16 I had the opportunity to work as a pet bather at Jolettes Pet Parlor in Florida and immediately knew that’s what I was going to do. I was able to experience many aspects of grooming as they specializing in showing Standard Poodles, all breed pet grooming, boarding and schooling. Once they sold I opened a mobile service and moved to a smaller salon specializing in terriers, expanding my knowledge in wire coats, cats and teaching me a completely different aspect of the grooming world. In 2010 I sold my mobile business to join the beautiful community here in central Texas!
After 20+ years of dedication in 2019, I was finally able to recreate a salon like I grew up in so I could open the door for others as mentoring provides a lifetime of fulfillment! We are currently building our pet store to include homeopathic products and cost effective quick service grooming options to help clients affordably maintain their pets
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have endured many struggles with rising over head costs to establish a permanent facility for our fur family and will continue to dedicate ourselves to provide an affordable, professional services in a safe, clean, positive environment for our fur babies!

We are a professional pet grooming facility best known for our love and care for all! I’m very proud of the quality of our team offering a wide variety of personality, character and styling techniques to suit most everyone’s needs. Our ability to work with all breed’s and temperaments provides a helpful hand to many. Many of our clients come hours away because they have great trust knowing we will always care for their fur baby as our own, provide a quality service for a fair rate. That level of trust is priceless and fulfilling.
