Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Evangelista
Hi Sean, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started selling products out of my garage since I made a point to myself that i didn’t want to work for someone else’s company. I wanted to create my own wealth and peace. So from 16-18 I started selling legos, pokemon, books, and anything to get my hands on some capital. Around this time, I got a full ride academic scholarship to Texas State University, so this helped me on the academic side, but i still wanted to be the best. So I told myself that I wanted to be the best businessman coming out of college and at the age of 21, I will have 3 established businesses. At 18, i learned how to leverage credit which that helped me started my first business, Amazon FBA. Leveraging credit is important on the financial side since it’s a good indicator to show credit bureaus how you use money, plus you can get lower interest rates. From 18-20 I’ve been scaling that business while getting into selling on to other platforms like Walmart and Ebay. I also wanted to get into Real Estate, so i made a countertop business since that will give me access to meeting high performing individuals since they live in nice houses.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Theres been two times where i went “broke”. First was at 17 where I trusted a man to middleman me inventory in which he never did. This lesson taught me the lesson of, “Don’t trust anyone you see, trust must be built”. And the second time I went broke was when my amazon business got shut down. I was making 15k profit months to nothing for 3 months. This taught me to diversify my assets and look to building other businesses.
We’ve been impressed with Evan Enterprise LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The business Evan Enterprise is just mainly a wholesale/distribution business. Since im so young and i understand most niche markets online, I know what moves quick on platforms like Amazon and Walmart. Im proud of the fact that i started so young and failed hard while i kept trying while others quit. What i want the readers to know is to just be inspired by my story, look at my hardships as opportunities to grow.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel like the willingness to learn, but having the relentlessness to never quit is a strong characteristic. The reason i mention this is if you fight for what you love, no one will ever beat you unless you quit.
