Hi Christopher, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve had a passion for music for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was influenced by various genres, including Rock, Rap, Gospel, R&B, and Country. These diverse sounds shaped my unique style, which blends faith-based lyrics with catchy melodies.
My musical journey began with writing songs and starting a rock band in my teenage years in high school. As my musical gift developed, I began to feel the pull to branch off into Christian Hip Hop (CHH). With Austin, Texas, known as the Live Music Capital of the World, many doors opened for the opportunity to perform at local community outreach events, summer camps, church programs, and gatherings. The encouragement and support I received from family, friends, and community fueled my desire to pursue music as a career.
Over time, I’ve developed a distinct sound that resonates with listeners all over the world seeking inspiration and hope. My music has been shaped by personal experiences, biblical teachings, and my passion for storytelling. Today, I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my music with a wider audience with the hope of making a positive impact on people’s lives.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My life hasn’t been a smooth road at all. After moving out of my mother’s home at eighteen, I hit numerous bumps in the road. I lacked direction and purpose, leading me to make choices I shouldn’t have and end up in places I shouldn’t be. However, everything changed when a friend invited me to church. I decided to put my faith in Jesus Christ, and afterward, I felt a newfound passion for music.
Pursuing music came with its own set of challenges. I had to learn to invest in myself, even when finances were tight. There were times I had to be my own cheerleader when I didn’t have a crowd to support me. Despite the struggles, everything I’ve been through has made me a better person today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Christian hip-hop artist dedicated to crafting music that inspires, uplifts, and shares the message of faith and resilience. My specialty lies in blending thought-provoking lyrics with catchy melodies, creating a unique sound that resonates with listeners from diverse backgrounds.
I’m known for my authentic storytelling, and commitment to using my platform to spread positivity and hope. One of my greatest accomplishments is building a loyal community of fans who appreciate my music’s message and authenticity.
What sets me apart is my willingness to be vulnerable, sharing personal experiences and struggles in my music. This vulnerability helps create a deep connection with my audience, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. I’m proud to be part of a movement that promotes faith, love, and inspiration through music.
How do you think about luck?
Some might attribute the success in my life to luck, but I prefer to echo the sentiments of rapper Drake: “It’s God’s plan.” I firmly believe that there’s a purpose behind every event and experience in my life.
