Southern Star was born from a passion for creating beautiful, accessible spaces for unforgettable celebrations. As a COVID bride, I experienced firsthand the challenges of starting from scratch and re-planning a wedding. That journey opened my eyes to the struggle couples face in finding a stunning yet affordable venue. Inspired by those experiences, I set out to create a space that blends rustic charm with modern amenities—a place where guests feel at home while celebrating life’s biggest moments.
Nestled on 80 acres in South Central Texas, Southern Star offers wide-open spaces, serene willow trees, and an expansive, natural setting. Since opening, we’ve been committed to top-tier customer service, ensuring every couple feels supported throughout their planning journey. Our venue is designed with flexibility in mind, whether you’re envisioning an elegant wedding or a meaningful gathering of any kind. More than just a venue, we offer an experience—complete with farm-fresh food, breathtaking views, and a dedicated team that truly cares.
Today, Southern Star continues to grow, providing our community with a place to celebrate without breaking the bank—embracing the natural beauty, warmth, and welcoming spirit that make our space so special.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been a journey with its fair share of challenges—I wouldn’t say it’s been a completely smooth road, but every obstacle has been an opportunity to learn and grow. We’re focused on making micro-improvements as quickly as possible, and each small step forward feels like a meaningful win.
Looking ahead, I’m incredibly excited about where we’re headed. Our vision for the future is a true passion project, and we have big plans in the works. I can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring—it’s a dream we’re working tirelessly to bring to life, and I truly believe the results will be worth every moment of effort.

You should know that I am deeply passionate about providing a safe, welcoming space for people to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. At our event center, we accept any and everyone—our goal is to create an environment where all feel valued and celebrated. The joy we experience in helping bring a client’s vision to life is truly indescribable. Whether it’s a wedding, concert, birthday, fundraiser, educational event, tournament, memorial service, or any other occasion, we believe every event is unique and deserves to be tailored to the individual. That’s why we pride ourselves on being as flexible as possible—because it’s your day, and it should be your way.
Before opening this event center, I was the general manager of a tubing business that welcomed up to 4,000 guests on peak days, supported by a team of 100 staff members. I thrived in that fast-paced environment, answering questions, solving problems, and ensuring every guest had an unforgettable experience. I loved creating a space where people could unwind, have fun, and make memories. That same passion drives me today as I run this event center. I’m dedicated to providing top-tier customer service and will go above and beyond to make every event as stress-free and perfect as possible. I approach every event with the mindset of, “How would I want this done for myself or my family?” and then make it happen.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the weddings we’ve helped coordinate. There’s something truly magical about seeing a couple’s vision come to life and witnessing the happy tears in a bride’s eyes. It’s a feeling like no other, and I often find myself wishing the event night wouldn’t end because I enjoy it so much.
What sets us apart is our flexibility and the breadth of what we offer. Clients can choose a bare-bones venue rental and bring their own vision to life, or they can opt for a turnkey experience where we handle every detail for them. Located on 80 acres, our venue ensures complete privacy—the only people there will be the ones you’ve invited.

At the heart of it all, our mission is simple: to provide a space where joy, love, and celebration can flourish.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice? Don’t give up. Opening a business is hard. Funds are tight, the work feels endless, and it can all seem overwhelming at times—and that’s okay. Take it one step at a time. Remember, even a little progress is still progress. Give yourself grace, set realistic goals, and celebrate when you reach them.
It’s also important to lean on your support system. Talk to your loved ones and be honest when you need emotional support. Asking for help when you need it is crucial—I’ll admit, that’s something I still struggle with, but it’s so important.
And yes, social media can feel exhausting, but keep posting and engaging. Consistency is key. Most importantly, don’t ever give up. You can do this. Success is a decision, so choose yourself and your dream every single day.
I’m still in the early stages of this journey myself, so I can’t speak from a place of having “made it,” but I can tell you this: the challenges are worth it when you’re pursuing something you’re truly passionate about.
