Hi Dalit, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been passionate about makeup! I’ve always done my friend’s makeup or my family members, but that’s it. Last year I decided to take a makeup course to polish my knowledge in the field. It was through that course that I felt so motivated to start my own little makeup business. I’m still slowly but surely getting a few clients and working on marketing my small business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Unfortunately, it has not been a smooth road. Last year when I decided to lose the fear and dedicate myself to start my business I had to stop because of life’s obstacle. There’s been financial struggles as well, but I’ve been able to overcome all challenges with the help of my family and of course most importantly God.
What I do know is that it will all be worth it one day.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Libre Beauty is the name of my business. Libre means freedom in Spanish. What I want people to know is that we have the freedom to do anything we want. To wear makeup anyway we want to express ourselves because makeup is a form of expression. I love seeing all kinds of makeup looks from vibrant colors to neutral colors it’s all so beautiful. My preference are always neutral colors. A more natural look.
There are many makeup artist in the city and obviously around the world. It’s a market that will never go away. What I do differently from others is that when you seat in my chair and I’m doing your makeup I want you to feel like a superstar. I want you to feel very special and very confident in yourself not just in the way you look.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is self love. Self love enables you to look at people, things and life in general from a different perspective. You learn to love others, to accept others and it builds your self esteem. From there you lose confidence in yourself and so many other issues arise.
Loving you the way you are is a wonderful thing.

- I have different prices for different events. I’ve struggled before and I still struggle financially, which is why my prices can be negotiated.
