Check Out Michael Cavazos’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Cavazos

Hi Michael , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Michael Cavazos and I’m a videographer and photographer. I do a lot of videography and video editing as of now. I got my start using a canon t5i. I used the same camera my friend used. I really didn’t too much research I just bout the camera. From there I started doing photography using various lenses. I experimented with different focal lengths. Like 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm etc. Originally I wanted to be a filmmaker, but I just stuck with photography and just kept going. I wanted to be a content creator for social media. I had a lot of social media internships during college. I used my photography to help various brands.

After college I started working for a company called interactive life forms. I became their main video editor for almost four years and that gave me a solid foundation on video editing. After they laid me off I decided to go freelancing. and that’s where I am right now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
NO it. has not been a smooth road. Being a good photographer or videographer is easy, but getting paid to do it is completely different. Finding people willing to pay rates is hard.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
