Hi America, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started with a dream, one that had been with me since I was a little girl. My mom and I used to talk about having a business together, something creative and full of joy. As I got older, that dream stayed with me, but I wasn’t sure when or how I’d bring it to life.
At 13, I started selling bracelets. At 15, I did nails for friends and family. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but at 16, I decided to take a leap. One random day, I created an Instagram page for ATX Sweet Serendipity!! No grand plan, no perfect setup, just an idea and the determination to make it happen. I started by handing out samples, getting feedback, and putting my work out there.
Little by little, things started to take off. What began as a passion project quickly turned into something bigger than I could have imagined. I booked my first events, then more followed. Now, I’ve done two quinceañeras, ten pop-up events, and fifteen hired work events, and I’m fully booked for weddings.
What makes this journey so special to me is that I built it from the ground up. Every setup, every sweet creation, every detail is something I’ve poured my heart into. It hasn’t always been easy, there have been long nights, challenges, and moments of doubt. but seeing how much joy my work brings to people makes it all worth it.
I started with a dream, took a chance, and never looked back. And this is just the beginning.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Balancing ATX Sweet Serendipity with everything else in my life has been one of the biggest challenges. As a high schooler, I already have a full plate, not just with academics, but with my passions. I’m a double major in Choral Studies and Performance Theatre, a three-time national equestrian champion, debate competitor, and I take my education seriously. On top of that, I’m involved in multiple extracurriculars and AP classes, which means my schedule is packed, especially on weekends when most big events happen.
Because of that, there have been times when I’ve had to make tough choices. Some weekends, I’m performing in a musical, competing in an equestrian event, at a debate tournament or preparing for an important test, and that means I can’t always take on every order. Education has always been my priority, and while I hate missing opportunities, I’ve learned that the right clients will always understand.
The majority of my customers are incredibly supportive and flexible. They’re willing to work around my schedule, choosing dates that allow me to put my full focus into their orders and ensure everything is perfect.
I never want to rush my work, and I never want to compromise on quality just to take on more than I can handle. It’s a delicate balance, but I’ve made it work by staying organized, setting realistic expectations, and only committing to what I know I can deliver at the highest standard.
It’s not always easy, but I remind myself that I started ATX Sweet Serendipity out of passion, not pressure. I may not be able to take every opportunity that comes my way right now, but I’m building something long-term, something that will grow with me.

ATX Sweet Serendipity is more than just a business…it’s a personal, handcrafted experience designed to bring a little bit of magic to every event.
I specialize in custom sweets and event setups, I offer everything from chocolate-covered treats, to eternal ribbon roses/Migajón flowers.
Beyond the desserts, I provide full event setups for quinceañeras, weddings, and parties, including tablecloths, backdrops, 4ft large gold numbers/letters, any personalized name lights, and customized snack and sweet tables.
What sets me apart is the personal touch I bring to every order. Every single piece is handmade with care and attention to detail. I don’t mass produce or rush through orders, I craft each treat and setup as if it were for my own special occasion. I also take the time to truly understand what my clients want, customizing their orders to fit their vision perfectly. It’s my favorite part of the job!
What I’m most proud of brand-wise, I’d have to say is that I built this entirely from the ground up. I started with nothing but an idea and a passion for creating, and now I’m fully booked. Seeing my business grow and knowing that people trust me with their most important moments is an incredible feeling.

What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just about numbers, money, or how many events I book. It’s about growth, passion, and impact. Success means building something that truly represents who I am, something that brings joy to others and allows me to express my creativity.
I know my business is successful because of how many people I’ve made happy. It’s about knowing that I started with just a dream and turned it into something real. Every time a client trusts me with their special day, every time someone enjoys one of my treats, and every time I see my work come to life at an event, I feel successful.
But more than anything, success is about balance. I’m juggling my business, school, music, theatre, all my hobbies/extracurriculars, and while it’s not always easy, being able to do what I love in multiple areas of my life is a success in itself. I don’t measure success by perfection but by progress as long as I’m growing, learning, and staying true to myself, I know I’m on the right path.
