Community Highlights: Meet Haley Hunt of Haus of Jayne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Hunt.

Hi Haley , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Christy and I started Haus of Jayne with a simple goal — to create a welcoming, educational space where people could explore the benefits of cannabis in a safe, intentional way. As moms and wellness seekers ourselves, we saw firsthand how hemp and plant medicine were helping people manage stress, sleep better, and reduce their dependence on pharmaceuticals. But there wasn’t a place in our area that combined trusted products with real guidance — so we built one.

We opened in the heart of Dripping Springs, a town known for its charm, community, and connection to nature. From day one, it was important that Haus of Jayne feel more like a sanctuary than a store. We hand-select every product, educate our guests without judgment, and lead with heart. Over the years, we’ve hosted everything from full moon ceremonies and cannabis education nights to bachelorette parties and community wellness events. We’ve become a trusted local resource — not just for high-quality THCa flower, topicals, and tinctures, but for honest conversations and connection.

The journey hasn’t always been easy, especially with the shifting legal landscape in Texas. But our passion for advocacy, education, and the healing power of cannabis has kept us grounded and growing. It’s been a wild ride — one rooted in friendship, family, and a whole lot of belief in the power of the plant!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but we didn’t expect it to be. When you step into an industry that’s not only highly regulated but also still misunderstood by many, you have to be ready to face resistance. From day one, we’ve had to navigate evolving Texas legislation, unclear rules, and the constant threat of change that could impact our ability to operate. That uncertainty takes a toll — financially, emotionally, and mentally.

We also opened as two women in a male-dominated space, introducing plant medicine in a conservative area. There were moments early on where we wondered if our vision would be accepted, but we stayed committed to our mission: to create a safe, welcoming space where people could learn and heal.

On top of that, we’ve bootstrapped nearly everything. We poured our own money, energy, and time into building Haus of Jayne — often working long hours, wearing all the hats, and juggling family life in between.

But with every challenge came growth. The community’s response, the stories from our clients, and the relationships we’ve built have made every struggle worth it. We’re proud of what we’ve built — and even more proud that we’ve done it with integrity, purpose, and heart.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Haus of Jayne ?
Haus of Jayne is a boutique cannabis dispensary nestled in the Texas Hill Country, and we’re proud to be more than just a retail shop — we’re a space rooted in education, empowerment, and connection. We specialize in carefully curated, hemp-derived cannabis products, including THCa flower, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and herbal wellness tools. Everything we carry is vetted for quality, safety, and intention — because our clients deserve to feel confident and cared for.

What sets us apart is the experience we offer. You won’t walk into a sterile shop or get a rushed explanation. Instead, you’ll find a warm, welcoming environment where we take the time to understand your needs — whether you’re managing anxiety, pain, sleeplessness, or simply looking to relax and reconnect. Our clients range from curious newcomers to experienced users, and we meet them all with compassion and clarity.

We’re most proud of the community we’ve built — people who trust us not just for products, but for guidance, conversation, and shared values. We host events that blend wellness and education — from sound baths and meditation nights to DIY CBD bath bomb stations and women’s health gatherings. Our brand represents a shift in cannabis culture: approachable, honest, feminine, and deeply rooted in care.

At the end of the day, Haus of Jayne is about helping people feel better — physically, emotionally, and energetically. We’re here to break the stigma, raise the standard, and show what’s possible when cannabis meets community, education, and heart.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that often surprises people is just how much advocacy and behind-the-scenes work goes into what we do. Most people see the calm, welcoming storefront — but don’t always realize that we’re also deeply involved in the fight to keep this industry alive and accessible in Texas. We’ve testified at the Capitol, met with lawmakers, and spent countless hours educating both the public and policymakers about the power and potential of hemp-derived cannabis.
