Hi Alexandra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello! I own Alex Designs Co. and I specialize in balloon and event decor for all types of events: Birthdays, business/corporate, social and school events. From backdrops to centerpieces and props to labels. My story began because I have been mainly a stay-at-home mom for the past 10 years and I started DIY-ing all of my son’s birthdays. I began to enjoy my work and decided to make it a small business. I have now been doing this for about six years and I absolutely love it. I work a lot with local non-profits, such as, HCWC, Seguin PD, Luling Chamber of Commerce and schools in Luling and Seguin. I feel so honored to be able to provide beautiful backdrops for these fundraisers and for my regular clients and I hope to continue doing it for years to come! Thank you for allowing me to make your events come to life!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not always. Being in a small town has its affordability challenges, but I always do my best to stay within a range where my clients are comfortable with the great service they are receiving and staying profitable.

I specialize in balloon and event decor. I offer full backdrops, balloon arches/garlands/columns, custom centerpieces, custom props and custom labels. I am known for my small-town, heartwarming, and helpful demeanor. I am proud that my brand is growing and spreading out of my small town. My tagline is “Making your events come to life!”, and that is exactly how I approach the event and following my clients’ vision.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t listen to the naysayers. If you don’t have any support from your close ones, find a way and make it happen. They will come to accept it later.
