Today we’d like to introduce you to Clay Rule.
Hi Clay , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A native Texan, Clay Rule began his culinary career working in restaurants as a student in college. Clay attended Texas State University where he obtained his Business Degree. Clay has over 30 years of experience as a restaurant professional including Executive Chef and Restaurant Business Owner in the Austin area. Clay co-owns Chefs for Seniors with his wife and native Austinite Amanda who is also a teacher in the Lake Travis area. They both enjoy traveling with their son and have a rescue dog named Penny.
Through Clay’s travels and vast restaurant experience he has developed a lifelong love of learning about the culinary world while preparing memorable meals for friends and family. Celebrating people and connecting with them through food is his true passion.
Clay is looking forward to giving back and creating nutritious, interesting, flavorful and affordable meals. Chefs For Seniors Owner, Clay and his team of chefs are currently servicing Austin and the Central Texas area.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
A couple of challenges I’ve encountered in this business are managing customer expectations and balancing the busy schedules of our chefs.

I am a dedicated business owner and personal chef, deeply passionate about my craft. My greatest pride comes from enhancing the lives of seniors through nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals. Seeing the joy and well-being that food brings to them is the heart of my work!
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’ve been collecting cook books and watching culinary shows for 30 years.
