Today we’d like to introduce you to Manuel Rebolloso.
Hi Manuel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started from learning from my father as the way of life as a tradesmen. Providing for our family, Strength in knowledge upon every obstacle and challenge that came before us, whether it was a system to diagnose/repair/install or design. “ A Dollar saved is a Dollar earned” was something we would say in a victory way of accomplishing any challenges. In all aspects I carried it through my childhood to adulthood. My summers and weekends after school would be with him and was shown a “Business Environment” every chance we had work lined up. From the beginning to the end it was punctual, Respectable and Reputable. By the time I honed into my Skillset (around 14yrs old) I found myself taking over in the actual jobs to ensure smooth services. Not that my father couldn’t, but I trusted my hands before watching a hiccup potentially happening. Fast forward to me fantasizing on taking this “company” to the next levels, soon brought many clashes in arguments as I was looking to continue on growth while my father was wanting to maintain just what we had. Some truths had to be brought into light that would ultimately allow me to understand why and how i was going to continue on my mission of success in the trade I was Becoming Proficient in. I’ve gained all my Knowledge through the Many many years in experience growing up. Not just “Shop hangouts” or Oil changes on the trucks, I’m talking having to Diagnose/Repair HVAC/Refrigeration and Restaurant Equipment Services that would extend from the front door to the back. Given the opportunity we’d take our chances on ourselves to resolve issues for others, in exchange for Funds to keep our world spinning. With thinking about the Long run in this career path I’ve grown to take into my own hands, After high school and one of the worst arguments me and my father could have at the time. I threw him “MY” his company work truck keys and i set forward in proving to myself before him that i believed i was worthy of being Respected as the Master level Technician i was destined to be. And so i applied for my “first” job for a Residential local HVAC company at the age of 18-19. As an Installer before having the chance to become a Service technician after proving i was actually capable of the Level of technician i was capable of. Fast forward to a couple years, i moved company’s as new opportunities approached, My Resume became more and more Respectable as i went from (Before my own Family experiences}
Residential HVAC Technician- Commercial HVAC/R & Cooking Equipment (For Jack in the box Corporation)- Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration & Cooking Equipment for a Company called “MY TECH TEXAS” and then i was invited to apply to AUSTIN AIR SERVICES. Again i moved with a new opportunity was worth taking, I’d grow my income through confidence in my craft. While out in the workforce of the community, Me and my father relationship would become better than before as work and family was no longer mixed day to day. And through the time i was able to finally have my Time in the trade VERIFIED and i could then submit my application to the Department of Licensing and regulations of Texas to be approved of Testing for my CONTRACTORS LICENSE OF HVAC?REFRIGERATION. The “MASTERS” level of my trade as i was coming very close to LEGITIMATELY Being able to conduct my Services directly to my Clients in my very own company. That would soon be called “ Homegrown Heating and Cooling, LLC.
Over the past summer of 2024, i was approved of testing, so i then was in control to make the dream a reality through my determination. i purchased and studied 4-5 large booklets of all the CODES/Regulations and Contractors book of law that I would be tested for. I had 2 tests to focus on as “Environmental Air” A/C & Refrigeration would fall under different endorsements. Fast forward some time I passed 1 test before being released from my Previous employed Company. And i came to a “ Y” in the road… i came to 2 options next to think about, i could search another job and keep building up to the idea of opening my own company… or take the chance and double down on myself to use that freedom of time to go all in and Form the LLC needed to Activate my License to allow the chain reaction of Procedures needed to allow myself to start pitching my services under myself. And as of November 1st, 2024 I’ve been Serving the Community and have so far come out victorious in sustaining bills to be paid and food on the table before we talk about growth for the company. With my Fiancé and 2 daughters that depend on me. I had little to no room for failure, it was the ultimate feeling of “How much do you believe in yourself” my ideas of reaching these chapters had come sooner then i could ever anticipate it as all my journeys would bring me to these moments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
From the beginning of Ending my time with working with my father in our “Family” company, i had many yelling arguments that i now seen unnecessary if only i was told some truths that i ultimately needed to know so I wouldn’t be led into a rabbit hole of possibilities. I wanted to grow, which brings talks about finances to be brought to light and Licensing i learned about in my passion to get where i wanted to go. And when My father ultimately had nothing else to offer to assist my growth, I NEEDED my time verified in the TRADE by another LICENSED CONTRACTOR….. bringing me to work for others as i was forced to believe, if I don’t get it sooner than the 4 years I’ll gain in the workforce. Then so be it, but as the Struggles/obstacles came, so did the enjoyment of living life. A balance in the world of the present & Future. I’d showcase some of my Capabilities in building a 1993 Mazda Miata into the Drift car i imagined I could build it into completely by myself. As a hobby i hope to turn into a Marketing outlet for my Services offered for HomegrownHC. All this time i did so much research in all the questions in the world on, How to Create/Maintain/Grow a Company. Before being Specific in the Services i was to offer. I felt i was looking down the scope of the Sniper scope of my Version of Success. And now to implement all my knowledge in the real time Company I’ve now formed, thanks be to God. I’m Coming out victorious in my Company for the idea of Bringing on my Network in the trade to all represent HOMEGROWN HEATING & COOLING.

It’s our Bread and Butter in offering nothing but the best Practices in Services Specialized for Restaurants/Bars & Grills/ Entertainments and Residential as we all Rely on Heating and Cooling in one form or another.
I’m Proud to not represent the Salesmen found around in these Fields before the TECHNICIAN i was born to be.
I’m Honored to be Known for Explaining to my Clients in any company before now my own, what’s the issue that been found and the next steps to resolve in detail before just spitting out Nonsense and only be interested in my own interest of selling something for the commission of myself “ I’ve never been a commission based employee”. I prefer the Issue sell itself in what needs to be done. To bring each problem back to RELIABLE/Respectable repair options. Of Course every system is different so it’s always a new adventure to await. But all can find comfort in knowing we come with Pure intentions of offering the Services we preach.

I like to view the city as THE City of OPPORTUNITY. Seeing from first hand as a child, a firm handshake and Punctual Conversations brings confidence in others to trust your word in services. Austin, Texas has always been my Home. There’s not much i would say i dislike about our city except the food joints we’ve lost along the way, FRANS HAMBURGERS ON CONGRESS. But with old doors closing, brings new doors to be opened. And in my line of services, i enjoy checking out all that’s available. For what’s available to me, is what i can be available to them.
