Hi Cassidy and Amber, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After spending many years in a corporate marketing setting, where we felt our work ethic was being used to build wealth for the owners but not benefiting us as individuals – or the clients who were paying the company tremendous volumes of money – we decided it was time to start our own marketing business. From the beginning, we have focused solely on helping small business owners build or expand their online presence and grow their revenue without forcing them to spend more than they can afford. Over the last three years, we expanded our client list to nearly 100 Texas business owners, and created a business so successful that we were both able to leave the corporate marketing world behind.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a journey full of challenges. Initially, we found that many people doubted our abilities, and even doubted the importance of digital marketing for small businesses in rural communities. Next, we watched as our small community, which didn’t previously have a business like ours, was suddenly full of marketing and media agencies claiming to offer the same services as us. Finally, we realized that if we stayed humble, focused on community service first and foremost, and continued to give back to our community in the form of volunteer opportunities and sponsorships, we could build a network from the ground up.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a full-service digital marketing and media agency. While there are many media agencies and marketing agencies in Central Texas, we are among the select few to offer full-scale photography, videography, and aerial media in conjunction with graphic and logo design, branding, website design, social media management, local listing management, search engine optimization, etc.
Our ability to handle each of the above-mentioned services makes us a really great choice for real estate brokers, agents, and realtors. But we also serve a wide spectrum of industries. From pipe yards and roofing companies to med spas, clinical research facilities, tire shops, construction companies, custom home builders, and auto customization shops.
Something that sets us apart is that my husband and I run 100% of the daily operations, even when that feels like too much. We take great pride in our output and know that small business success is far too important to provide deliverables that are anything less than outstanding.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Though we do a good bit of marketing for ourselves, we would not be where we are without the referrals of our most loyal clients. Something interesting happens when you start a business. The close friends and family members you thought would be your biggest cheerleaders, often are not. But you meet strangers along the way that think you hung the moon – and they will shout about you from the mountaintops. We have a handful of those types of clients, and it has been a real game changer for us.
Our children also deserve a shout-out. Abigail, Samuel, Nate, and Oliver. They have been incredibly patient with us while we built this business. They seem to understand that it allows us to be present in a way that our corporate careers did not. Even if that means we may have to occasionally have our laptops in our laps during family movie night.
