Hi Rachel and Lawrence, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our story began quite organically in our home. We simply loved hosting events, creating custom cocktails, and fostering a sense of community with our friends and family. What started as a passion project for a few years grew as our friends kept encouraging us to turn it into a business. We eventually took the leap, and the name ‘Grapes & Rye’ is a perfect reflection of us: ‘Grapes’ for Rachel’s love for wine and her journey to become a Sommelier, and ‘Rye’ for Lawrence’s passion for whiskey and bourbon.
We started with a mobile tap trailer, bringing our curated experiences to events across the Austin area. Our reputation for quality and unique service allowed us to grow, and just this year, we were thrilled to open our first physical location—a cocktail innovation hub in Hutto, TX. This space allows us to do so much more, from hosting mixology classes to serving as a private event venue. We’re proud to have evolved from a mobile service to a community hub, all while staying true to our original mission of creating connections and unforgettable experiences.
