Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Casas.
Hi Ricardo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I founded Fahrenheit Marketing in 2008, I had a clear goal: to offer high-quality digital marketing, design, and development services to businesses that might not have the budget for a traditional, large-scale agency.
My story began when I was a marketing director myself. I saw a huge need for digital services among businesses of all sizes, especially as the 2008 financial crisis pushed everyone to focus on their online presence.
I’m proud to say that Fahrenheit Marketing was profitable right from the start. By 2010, we had landed our first publicly traded client, which really put us on the map and led to us working with other high-profile brands.
Today, we’ve grown to serve a wide range of clients, from local businesses to global companies like PepsiCo, Gatorade, QuikTrip and RJ Reynolds. We’ve used our success to expand our services, and we now focus heavily on design, development, and marketing automation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Our path was full of obstacles, but our commitment to quality and excellence created opportunities for us to grow and solidify our position in the market.
Early on, we faced a unique challenge. Our business model was different from other companies our size, and it was tough to convey the value of our experience. We adopted the model of larger agencies, billing by the hour in 15-minute increments. This was a direct contrast to the popular “all-in” or fixed-price agreements that clients seemed to prefer.
However, those “all-in” agreements rarely live up to the client’s expectations. We found that our transparent, value-based approach built trust and a stronger partnership, ultimately allowing us to thrive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fahrenheit Marketing is a full-service digital agency partnering with Fortune 500 companies as well as established local brands across the United States and Canada. Our business model is built on the depth and tenure of our team, allowing us to deliver a caliber of service typically associated with large agencies—without the overhead or attitude. I founded the company in 2008 with the mission of providing exceptional service grounded in expertise, humility, and results.
What I’m most proud of at Fahrenheit is the culture we’ve built. We are a diverse team of 23 individuals from all walks of life, united by a spirit of collaboration, respect, and support that is rare to find even in a partnership of two. Clients consistently highlight our transparency, communication, and know-how as defining strengths. The average tenure of our employees is 11 years, with senior staff bringing as many as 25 years of industry experience—something truly uncommon in today’s agency landscape.
We are a data-first agency, with every decision informed by rigorous analysis and interpretation. This approach consistently gives our clients a strategic edge and measurable results. Over 18 years, Fahrenheit has grown steadily, attracting increasingly prominent clients including RJ Reynolds, QuikTrip, TransCore, Northern Reflections, the Barbara Bush Foundation, Citgo Oil & Gas, LA Metro Lanes, PepsiCo, and many more.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Austin is an incredibly dynamic city. I’ve lived here for 27 years and watched it transform from a sleepy, quirky town into a bustling hub that now attracts international attention. One of the things I love most is the food scene. For what I’d still consider a mid-sized city, Austin offers an impressive variety of restaurants that rival those in much larger markets like Houston or Chicago. While we may not have the sheer volume of options those cities do, the quality here is exceptionally high.
If I had to pick a downside, it would be the traffic. The explosive growth of the past decade has outpaced the city’s infrastructure, and Austin has struggled to keep up with the demands of a rapidly growing population. Driving in and out of downtown, in particular, has become increasingly frustrating.
