Inspiring Conversations with Jonathan, Segev And Gilad Zadok of Zadok Jewelers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan, Segev And Gilad Zadok.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our family’s history in fine jewelry spans seven generations of stewardship and watch-making. Our parents, Dror and Helene, met when Helene worked next door to the Zadok family jewelry store in Israel, and they were married just three months later. Dror and Helene opened Zadok Jewelers in Houston in 1976 in a modest space, after arriving in the US with their baby Jonathan, a few suitcases, and a dream. Although expansion took time and determination, Zadok Jewelers now owns its flagship 28,000-square-foot showroom on Post Oak Boulevard in Houston, fulfilling Dror’s dream of owning his own property and serving as the anchor tenant of their own mixed-use development. Now, nearly 50 years later, Zadok Jewelers has expanded beyond Houston with the opening of its Austin showroom at The Domain, the city’s luxury shopping destination, in May 2025.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When our parents, Helene and Dror, immigrated to Houston and decided to open a jewelry store in 1976, all they had was a 1,200-square-foot space and approximately 10 items of inventory. While starting a business in a new country, our parents remained dedicated to raising us – Jonathan, Segev, and Gilad. Even in our young age, they always reminded us that to open the business, they had to have “more guts than brains,” and while many people doubted that their business would ever succeed, they both knew that they had what it took and believed in their potential to grow a meaningful business and legacy. Our parents’ resilience and determination in the face of adversity have shaped the Zadok Jewelers that customers know today, and motivate us as their sons to carry that on. The same values Zadok Jewelers was founded on serve as our guiding principles nearly 50 years later, especially as we entered a new market with the opening of our Austin store.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As we opened our brand-new Austin store in The Domain, it was important to us that we maintain the same familial values that jump-started Zadok Jewelers. To this day, Zadok Jewelers remains a family-owned and operated business, with us, Jonathan, Segev, and Gilad, at the helm. Even Helene and Dror’s daughters-in-law are now involved, contributing to community outreach and marketing efforts. The foundational relationships our parents nurtured and that we continue to foster set us apart as a reliable brand, enabling us to secure internationally sought-after pieces. This is represented through the several partnered luxury watch boutiques that we are proud to house at our Domain location, including the over 1,700-square-foot Rolex showroom – Zadok Jewelers’s first partnership with the brand –, IWC Schaffhausen’s largest boutique in Texas, and Panerai and TUDOR’s first boutiques in Austin. Within each, customers receive a personalized experience with expert knowledge from the brands’ own representatives. We are known for our exceptional customer service, striving to make every client feel valued and appreciated, with close-knit relationships amongst our staff and clientele. Additionally, philanthropy has long been a core value of ours. We strongly believe in supporting the local communities of Houston, which has helped us build for nearly five decades, and Austin, which has welcomed us with open arms since we opened our doors this past May.
