Hi Keating, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started in commercial refrigeration, where I was thrown into a fast-paced environment that was over my head at first. It forced me to learn quickly and completely shifted my mindset. Over time, I discovered a passion for building science and came to understand how much good design, maintenance, and indoor air quality affect the homes we live in. That realization led us to launch Gold Eagle Services, where we specialize in HVAC and indoor air quality.
As we grew, we added Pure Maintenance Central Texas, offering advanced dry-fogging – a process that combines vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, aerosolized into entire spaces to treat indoor air quality issues. Today, my work blends operations with building-science experience, helping homeowners transform their living environments into healthier, higher-performing spaces. My focus now is on scaling these services while keeping them personal, science-driven, and customer-first.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Competing against private equity firms has been a challenge – they often focus on volume and short-term gains, while we’ve had to carve out a path centered on real service and long-term results. Another struggle has been the reality that every home is different. No two systems or environments are alike, and we as a team have to come up with the best solutions quickly to address specific issues and re-define comfort and indoor air quality for each homeowner. Balancing that technical depth with day-to-day operations has taken time, and the constant problem-solving can be tough, but it’s also what keeps the work meaningful and has shaped our identity as a company.

At Gold Eagle Services, we specialize in HVAC and indoor air quality solutions, with a focus on helping homeowners create healthier, higher-performing homes. We also built Pure Maintenance Central Texas into a complementary brand, offering dry-fogging technology to sterilize homes and businesses – expanding our ability to impact indoor environments in a meaningful way.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is how important education is. We only get a couple of hours in someone’s home, and in that time we have to take years of experience and boil it down into something a homeowner can feel confident about. Our focus comes down to making sure they understand their options and feel comfortable with the decisions they’re making for their home and their family.

Our goal is to make education an ongoing part of the experience, so people feel informed, empowered, and in control of their homes.
