Today we’d like to introduce you to Samuel Davis.
Hi Samuel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My creative journey began around the age of three when my father introduced me to an art program on the computer, and I became obsessed — spending endless hours creating digital art. Soon after, I transitioned to paper and began sketching and drawing nonstop. That early passion for creating led me to continually refine my craft, eventually earning acceptance into the College for Creative Studies located in Detroit, Michigan, where I majored in Transportation Design – a field focused on the functionality and aesthetics of innovative vehicles, blending art with engineering.
While in school, I began to use my camera to photograph my design projects, and that’s when I discovered how perspective and angles can completely change how something is seen. That moment sparked my love for photography.
Fast forward to my move to Texas — I began exploring new environments and taking photos wherever I went. One day, a local artist approached me about collaborating, and that opportunity pushed me to keep evolving and refining my skills. Every step since then has been about growth, creativity, and continuing to see the world through new angles.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape me into the artist I am today. Like many creatives, I’ve had moments of self-doubt and uncertainty — times when I questioned my direction or whether I was good enough. Starting out, I didn’t always have access to the best equipment or resources, so I had to make the most of what I had and learn to be resourceful.
Transitioning from Detroit to Texas was also an adjustment — new environment, new people, and a different creative scene. It took time to build connections, find clients, and establish my name in a new city. But those challenges taught me persistence, patience, and the importance of staying true to my vision.
Every obstacle pushed me to grow, adapt, and keep creating no matter what. Looking back, I’m grateful for the tough moments because they helped me develop not only my skills but also my mindset and work ethic.
As you know, we’re big fans of Snapture LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My brand is built around visual storytelling — combining photography, videography, and design to create work that connects emotionally and visually. I specialize in capturing authentic moments and transforming them into powerful visual narratives for individuals, artists, and brands.
What sets me apart is my design foundation and attention to detail. With a background in Transportation Design, I approach every project with a creative eye for structure, form, and emotion. I strive to create visuals that not only look great but also convey meaning and depth.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the evolution — growing from a passion project into a creative business that helps others express their stories through art. My goal is for people to see my work and instantly recognize its authenticity, creativity, and soul.
For anyone reading, I want them to know that my brand is more than visuals — it’s about impact, connection, and creating something that lasts.
