Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard.
Hi Richard, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I decided one day just to leave my job at Halliburton and and open up a detailing shop in Houston I had it for eight years that my fifth year of having my shop I ended up going through a divorce and my ex-wife moved down here to horseshoe Bay Texas and I only lasted three more years there and I couldn’t be that far away from my sons so I sold everything and moved here I was hired at a local dealership to do detailing there and I was building up my clientele after being there for a while decided just to take a leap of faith and while still working other jobs to make ends meet I started getting so much work detailing that I was able to hire my son and we went from having one, Van to buying another and him working one with his crew and I’m working the other
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Well being that I wasn’t born and raised here it was very hard to get customers at first and to earn their trust and then after Covid hit things just got way worse I had to get another job, but I was still building my clientele then and we ended up Leaving our spot where we were detailing to doing 100% mobile detailing
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
we Detail all vehicles, yachts, boats, all watercraft’s Side by sides and planes we also do paint correction and we offer five year ceramic coatings on vehicles and boats, and we just started doing vinyl wrapping on cars about a year ago.
I’m very proud of my sons. They have helped me build this business and work very hard for all of our five star reviews
What are customers tell us that they like about us is that were transparent, honest we communicate very well, and we take pride in our work
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I feel that my father help me a lot. He was my biggest supporter. He was always praying for us always keeping me motivated. He saw everything he saw where we’re at now before I could see it unfortunately, he passed a few years ago so he’s not able to see how far we’ve come.
And my son, my oldest son, he’s worked side-by-side with me in this horrible heat and during winter and he has never back down
And we also had an amazing customer down a real estate company here in horseshoe Bay, and she open doors for us that we could never open. I feel that God put her in our lives and she was a huge blessing because of her we were able to take care of the horseshoe Bay Police Department vehicles the LCRA vehicles the Horseshoe Bay resort vehicles, the Horseshoe Bay airport vehicles I mean she She was a huge blessing to us
And our employees they’re amazing. I can trust them. They work very hard and they take pride in their work too, and I’m so grateful for them.
