Mary, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
I would. It feels “boastful” to say that but it’s true. Naturally, I’m a cheerleader so I’m going to cheer you on along with “sharing your magic” and getting your website designed in a way that feels good to you and helps you grow your business. I’m honest. I don’t depend 100% on AI. This one makes me giggle a bit because for some people that may sound silly and for others it may be a sigh of relief. Although I do like that I can call on it for support if I need to my ideas and words and thoughts are still my own. With that being said, it means I still believe and want to provide a human to human interactive connection. I value that SO much. I’m fun and flexible. I love to simplify things for others and make the experience a fun one, as much as I can.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Mary Alvizures, First-Generation Latina Small-Business Owner living in Austin Texas.
I provide intuitive branding + web design for Spiritual Entrepreneurs, Intuitives, Life Coaches, Energy Healers, Holistic, Conscious, Health and Wellness Businesses. When it comes to being online, you know you want to be seen as the heart centered powerhouse you are. At Share Your Magic, I design soul aligned brands and websites that make you $$$.
I’m a few months from celebrating a decade of doing what I love in this field and very proud of it! Being an entrepreneur can feel like a roller coaster ride but if you really LOVE what you do, put your heart and soul into it along with getting supported throughout – anything is possible!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust. If there’s no trust, there’s no way to bond. What restores it is choosing to be honest, restoring trust and also taking a leap of faith in believing (but also staying cautious) if the bond had been broken before and you’re restoring it.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Oh yes, I was year 3 into my business. I had spend lots of money and time in personal development courses, coaches, and developing my skill set. I’ll admit, a lot of that did help but it felt to me like it was “surface level”. It never felt enough because it’s not until I did the deep inner work that things actually changed for me. What I mean by deep inner work is a bit more spiritual, looking within, letting go of limiting beliefs, getting acquainted with the REAL me – not who and what others wanted me to be.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Self-love, courage and compassion.
When you love yourself and are accepting of yourself, you get to be your TRUE self. That’s beautiful. That’s the gold. That’s the money maker. We’re all so different and the only person you have to be is your authentic self.
Courage is important because you need it to make bold moves, speak up, show up as 100% you, create boundaries, etc.
Compassion is important because you never know what the other person is dealing with and if we all just show a bit of compassion it really does go a long way.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Watching tv and spending hours on social media. I’ll catch up on netflix “on the other side”. There’s way too much beauty to see outside of the screen, I wouldn’t want to miss out.
