Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Kjar.
Hi Christina, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After more than 20 years in the accounting industry as a licensed CPA, I decided to make a major career change. Most recently, I served as the CFO for a golf course management company. While that role and industry served me well for many years, I eventually found myself feeling burned out and unfulfilled.
For a long time, I had toyed with the idea of starting my own business, but the timing never felt right, and I wasn’t sure exactly what kind of business I wanted to create. After a lot of soul-searching, I started reflecting on what truly brings me joy and what I wanted my next chapter to look like. I realized that I’ve always had a passion for organization and creating calm, functional spaces. I also wanted to do something that allowed me to connect with people in my community and make a positive difference in their lives.
That’s when the idea for a professional organizing business began to take shape. Once I committed to it, everything started falling into place. I officially launched Bee Organized in June 2025, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey so far.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m still very new to business ownership, and there have definitely been some challenges along the way. The most important one for me has been hiring the right people to join my team. At Bee Organized, we live by our three “Bee-Liefs”: we are Compassionate, Confidential, and Judgment-Free with all of our clients. Finding team members who truly embody those values was essential, and learning how to identify the right fit took some trial and error. Once I dove into the hiring process, I learned a lot about what to look for and how to build a strong, aligned team.
Another challenge has been marketing and social media. I came into this with zero experience and had no idea where to start. I’ve realized that, just like with hiring, it’s about experimenting and finding what works best for my business. I’ve been learning, trying new things, and discovering that the process can actually be fun and creative.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Bee Organized provides organizing services to homes and businesses across the Greater Austin area. We help clients simplify their spaces and create order during some of life’s busiest or most overwhelming moments, whether they’re moving, downsizing, going through a major life transition, or simply wanting to regain control of their home.
We specialize in home and business organization, move management, and life transition services. Our goal is to create systems that are not only functional but also sustainable, so clients can maintain peace and balance long after we leave.
What truly sets us apart are our three “Bee-Liefs”: we are Compassionate, Confidential, and Judgment-Free. We understand that inviting someone into your home and your personal spaces can feel vulnerable, so we approach every project with empathy and respect. We meet clients where they are, and tailor our services to their unique needs and goals.
I’m most proud of the trust and connection we are building with our clients. Bee Organized isn’t just about tidy spaces—it’s about helping people feel lighter, more confident, and more in control of their lives. I want readers to know that when you work with us, you’re not just hiring an organizer; you’re gaining a supportive partner who truly cares about your well-being and success.
What matters most to you?
The most important thing to me is my family. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing boys in middle and high school. Being there to support them in everything they do means the world to me. I also want to set an example for them, to show that with focus, courage, and determination, you can build the life you envision. I love being able to share my journey of starting and growing a business with them, and to show firsthand that it’s never too late to pursue something you’re passionate about.
