Today we’d like to introduce you to David Messier.
Hi David, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Excellent question Megan. Interestingly enough, I was the first hypo-birth Weymouth, Massachusetts. They had to hypnotize my mother because during birth I was recklessly flinging my arms and legs. Shortly after, I moved to Austin, Texas with my plutonic friend Andre Cantave.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Well when I first moved to Austin, I was afraid there would be nothing to eat due to the lack of Jewish people or Italians. Thankfully, I am highly adaptable and fell in love with the taco. Additionally, generally, everyone in the music business has two dicks and three assholes, so that has presented some challenges.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Megan, until technology allows us to plug a stereo quarter inch jack directly into someone’s brain, Same Sky Productions is the next best way to get music out of your head. People from all over the world bring us lyrics, melodies, cocktail napkins with scribbles on them, etc. and we turn them into a peopled landscape of sound. At our 3,000 square foot state of the art recording studio, almost nothing is impossible. And by the way Megan, not all young people are brave enough to rock a season broach. Good for you!
What makes you happy?
If I’m being honest, I’ve never been happy a single day in my entire life. I do enjoy music, chicken Parmesan, sneezing, and getting caught in the rain.
