Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlyn Rose Clark.
Hi Caitlyn Rose, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We’ll have to go back to the beginning. The year is 1985, and my dad is down on one knee, declaring to Mom all of the reasons why she must marry him. The one that got her? “I can promise that our lives will always be about something bigger than ourselves.”
Forty years later, he more than delivered. Personal development had been our family business long before I came along. My parents have truly lived their work, and as a result, I feel like I’ve been attending a 28-year-long seminar on the art of being human. For better or worse, this unique upbringing has shaped me into who I am today.
It was only natural for me to join this work within a few years of graduating high school. Over the years, I have had many people express to me how envious they are that I grew up in an environment where the practices of radical accountability and growth were daily drivers. While it has been the greatest blessing of my life, I have to admit, there are times when I don’t know where the work ends and I begin.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has been anything but smooth, and for that, I am grateful. I stand by the belief that the higher the calling, the harder the path. I have experienced many hardships throughout my life, as early as five years old — the most impactful being sexual abuse, depression, and OCD.
Even with the challenges, I consider myself one of the most blessed and privileged people on this planet. I had an extraordinary childhood and would not trade my path for anything. Picking myself up by my bootstraps when I’ve been barefoot, time and time again, has left me with immense humility, gratitude, and compassion for the human experience.
This life is not easy, regardless of who you are, and I wish people were more forthcoming about that. And even so, there is profound beauty and magic in every moment if you choose to look for it.
We’ve been impressed with Momentum Consulting , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Momentum Consulting is founded on the belief that dignity is a birthright, with a mission of accelerating human performance. We want to see people succeed in every area of work and feel valued for what they contribute.
My personal specialty is centered around accountability, communication, and identifying blind spots. I am often known for saying the thing nobody else will and have been referred to as the “hot and spicy” package.
Working with me requires looking at the parts of yourself you don’t want to see — and knowing that I will hold your hand gently through the process. The result? Realizing there was nothing to be afraid of in the first place.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My relationship with Jesus Christ. I would consider myself a lukewarm believer for most of my life. I identified as a Christian but did not have a close, personal relationship with Jesus. I tried every spiritual modality there is over the years and always came back to Christianity. I am not exaggerating when I say He radically saved my life in my darkest moment.
Giving my life to Christ has created an embodied joy, safety, and peace I have never found anywhere else. And believe me — I looked.
