Jessica’s Journey
I grew up in Burnet, Texas, and married my high school sweetheart, who served in the Army. During our time in Colorado, I became a mother of two and even went to esthetician school while pregnant with my second daughter. After my husband returned from war, life took a difficult turn and we eventually divorced. As a 100% disabled veteran, he faced his own challenges, and I found myself raising our two girls on my own.
Through every season—ups, downs, setbacks, and new beginnings—I relied on perseverance, faith, and hard work. My esthetician license became the one thing I could always fall back on, even as I worked different jobs and pushed through life’s hurdles.
In 2019, I took a leap of faith and opened my own spa. I survived COVID, grew stronger through the struggle, and today, nearly six years later, I’m proud to say I absolutely love what I do. I specialize in permanent makeup, lashes, advanced skincare, painless hair removal, and state-of-the-art laser and radio-frequency treatments. I’ve been ranked the number one permanent makeup artist in Marble Falls, Texas, and clients travel from all over to see me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. My journey has been challenging from the very beginning. I’ve had to do everything on my own—raising my daughters without financial support from family or a spouse, building my career from the ground up, and keeping my business alive through COVID. There were many seasons where it felt like everything rested on my shoulders, and it often did. I’ve never had a plan B; I simply didn’t have that luxury. I’ve always just found a way to make it work. Those struggles shaped me, pushed me, and ultimately made me stronger, both as a mother and as a business owner.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At my core, I’m an artist. I’ve always loved design, painting, drawing—anything that allows me to create something beautiful with intention and detail. That artistic side is what drives my work in aesthetics. My profession requires precision, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail, and that’s exactly where I thrive. I don’t just perform services; I create customized, natural-looking results that enhance each person’s unique features. Permanent makeup—especially eyebrows—is my true specialty, and over the years I’ve mastered the art of shaping, shading, and balancing the face through brow design. I’m proud to say that in five years I’ve never had a bad review, because I pour everything I have into my craft. My clients trust me not just because of my skill, but because they can feel the passion and care behind every service I provide.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Oh, I listen to all kinds of podcast, I enjoy yoga. I do daily sauna red light therapy. I’m pretty holistic when it comes to medicine and staying healthy with more alternative modalities that I’ve always been around, but just now kind of coming to Light. I love surrounding myself with my family, my four schnauzers and I go to a wonderful church. I’m a woman of faith. I’m a very spiritually connected person. I’m grateful for every day.

- My lash extensions are $250 a full set and $110 a fill
