Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Gore.
Hi Gabrielle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband and I launched Kickstand Mobile in 2019, serving handcrafted cocktails to the Austin and Hill Country community, everything from intimate backyard gatherings to large corporate events.
What started as a simple side gig serving drinks out of a two-horse trailer quickly grew into a full-scale operation with staff support and partnerships with local event companies and suppliers.
During COVID, when the world shut down and weddings shifted outdoors, we spotted a niche opportunity and leaned in. That momentum became our turning point. The Hill Country is known as the wedding capital of the world, and Kickstand naturally fit the vibe, laid-back, local, and built for memorable celebrations.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to serve at some truly remarkable events—from Kendra Scott’s intimate wedding at her Wimberley ranch, to brand partnerships with Lime Scooters, featured activations at SXSW with Seedlip, the Walker Texas Ranger wrap parties, and hundreds of weddings and private celebrations.
Austin has welcomed our small business with open arms, this community has made us what we are today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When we started, there wasn’t another local mobile bartending company operating out of a horse trailer, so we had nothing to model it after. We made everything up as we went: pricing, operations, the flow of service, even the logistics of setting up at remote Hill Country venues. It was true trial by fire. We said yes to every event and figured it out along the way.
One of our most memorable lessons came from a wedding on the lawn of the Blanco City Courthouse. The bride insisted we park in the grass, something we later learned was not ideal. It had poured the night before, leaving the ground completely saturated. Naturally, we got stuck. And in the process of trying to pull out of the mud, we unintentionally tore up the courthouse lawn. We were mortified. From that day forward, we made a hard-and-fast rule: parking must be on pavement or gravel. No exceptions.
As you know, we’re big fans of Kickstand Mobile LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Kickstand Mobile is a dry-hire bartending service based in Central Texas, operating out of a custom renovated two-horse trailer. We specialize in craft cocktails for Hill Country weddings, private events, and corporate gatherings, bringing a laid-back yet elevated experience to every celebration.
We’re best known for our partnership with the beloved mini beer burros, an unforgettable, crowd-pleasing touch that adds charm and fun to any event.
As longtime Austinites, my husband and I have proudly built and run this business ourselves since 2019. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of serving at major Austin events, brand activations, and countless unforgettable Hill Country weddings.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
We’ve always said, “one team, one dream.” We both came from working class families with a strong work ethic.
Taylor brought years of experience from Austin’s bar and restaurant scene—working at some of the city’s most iconic spots like Brewer’s Table, Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden, and even part of the opening team at Culinary Dropout.
I came in with a degree in Advertising from Texas State, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and years of merchandising experience.
Together, we’re creative thinkers who weren’t afraid to take a risk. We combined our strengths to build something completely unique, a mobile bar experience that feels authentic, memorable, and uniquely Hill Country.
