Life & Work with Tyler Ingersoll of Mopac near the Domain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Ingersoll.

Hi Tyler, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey to becoming a Reiki Master Teacher has been a lifelong one. I’ve dealt with many trials in my life that could have, and almost successfully, derailed my belief in our connectedness to the greater world of humanity.

A few years ago, while on a trip to the Shangri-La music festival, I had a transformative experience when I received a Reiki session. The seed was planted. It was then I realized my calling to become a practitioner, to help others find inner peace and balance. Shortly after that trip, I was attuned to the level three Master Teacher.

Since then, I have been working to establish my practice, Kindred Spirit Reiki. My goal is to provide holistic healing services to help others discern their calling and find peace and balance in their life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not. While my calling was clear, the path was filled with struggles. My personal trials that almost derailed my belief in connection were probably the toughest to overcome initially. It required a complete re-centering of myself before I could even begin to serve others, and it definitely tested my resolve.

After realizing my calling at Shangri-La, the practical steps presented new challenges. Becoming a Master Teacher happened quickly, but I am still working to truly start my practice, Kindred Spirit Reiki, and establish my client base.

Building a holistic practice requires deep commitment to my own healing journey while simultaneously learning the business side of things, like attracting clients and learning how to articulate the subtle yet profound benefits of energy work to a wider audience. Every step has been a lesson in trusting the wisdom of the process, even when the road ahead wasn’t clearly lit.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Kindred Spirit Reiki, I specialize in intuitive energy healing as a certified Master Teacher. My practice is rooted in the belief that we are all connected, kindred spirits on a shared journey.
What sets my work apart is this philosophy and my approach. Each session takes place in a grounded and compassionate healing space and begins with thoughtful dialogue to center your intentions. Then, through intuitive energy healing and the use of the body’s natural energy fields, I facilitate balance and deep relaxation, allowing the body’s own wisdom to guide the healing process. Through this energy work, we create space for alignment, peace, and reconnection with your most authentic self.

I am also known for integrating card readings, guided by the wisdom of my Spirit guides, which can assist clients with clarity or position on decision making.

I am most proud of witnessing those moments when clients tune into their own essence and realize their power. That realization confirms my belief that healing ourselves is a step toward healing the world. My practice gently guides that process, reinforcing the truth that you are never alone on your path. You are seen. You belong. You are a Kindred Spirit.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for finding a mentor or networking comes down to authenticity and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone and be willing to ask a question. When you are willing to do that, your mentors kind of align themselves with you rather than the other way around. The right people are going to be willing to step up and provide that mentorship and guidance that you are looking for, and the people who are disinterested will naturally weed themselves out.

Finding my own Master Teacher was the most crucial step, and that came down to an intuitive connection—someone whose wisdom and energy truly resonated with my own. Look for people who are living the principles they teach.

What has worked well for me is focusing on community over competition. For energy work, this means connecting with other practitioners who offer complementary services. While I haven’t yet been able to schedule local festivals and wellness fairs, I am deeply interested in participating in those community events when time allows, as I see them as key opportunities to show up where my clients are seeking holistic growth.

I also believe in paying it forward:

I act as a mentor myself for anyone interested in attunement to the level of Master Teacher. I believe that when you are truly passionate about the healing you provide, you naturally attract the people who need your light, whether they are clients or colleagues.
