Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Ronhaar.
Hi Ron, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We started performing in the 90s playing for weddings, frat and sorority parties, fund raisers and in the night clubs all across Texas. We specialize in corporate parties, weddings, fund raisers and any events where you want your crowd on the dance floor having a blast! We can give you different size bands depending on the size of the event from four piece band all the way up to an 11 piece super group!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have a great dance band, tons of talented performers and have always been booked solid through word of mouth from satisfied clients. Covid was a huge struggle however as we went from being booked solid to having all of our shows cancelled all at once for almost a year at the height of the covid pandemic. We slowly started getting shows booked again as the pandemic subsided.
We’ve been impressed with Our band is called The Grooves, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We play songs from all genres from 50s all the way up to current hits with the goal of keeping a dance floor packed and folks having a blast. We also perform light background music for networking events as well. We formed a country theme band where we wear country attire and perform country music for our clients that want a real Texas feel. With this theme band, we can play country all night or mix in top forty and variety to our clients desires to mix up the mood and keep our guests engaged with their favorite hits. Our country theme band is great for our clients who want a band who can give their guests from all over the world a taste of Texas but still perform popular variety songs that they know and love to dance to.
