Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Frazier.
Hi Angela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I originally was enrolled to be a cosmetologist back in 2019 in Nebraska. Hair was not my niche. As a requirement we must learn how to do manicures & pedicures. During that portion of the class I fell in love with learning more about nail & feet care as well as enhancements. My husband retired from the Air Force & we picked Texas as our final home. We packed up our two boys & our dog & relocated to Austin. I then enrolled in Central Texas Beauty College where I pursued & graduated from the Manicuring program. Shortly after graduation I went & took my written version of the practical & passed on the first try. I then set a date to sit before the board to do my hands on practical. I again passed on the first try & was officially a Licensed Manicurist in the state of Texas☺️ I jumped into the industry feet first & began to establish clientele. January 6, 2023 was my official first day of business. I’m still currently building my nail empire as we speak
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It absolutely hasn’t been smooth sailing. Slow periods, building clientele, & losing hope to the point of self doubt was very much so a running theme in my life.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I offer services which range from basic manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements since as Apres Gel-X, & polygel. I even offer deluxe services. I’m known for encapsulation & abstract art. I’m most proud of creating encapsulation. It’s my absolute favorite thing to do. My artwork & pedicures set me apart from most nail techs.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Glossgenius App allows me to manage my clients, Instagram allows me to advertise & display my work. One of my favorite books that helped me to release my worries is, “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck”. Great read. I mainly listen to Christian based creators on YouTube for my daily dose of Faith like the creator GodlyVibes.
