Exploring Life & Business with Bobby Dubois of Madrone Springs Ranch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Dubois.

Hi Bobby, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our journey started when we left the busy life of LA, where Bobby worked as a physician scientist, for the peaceful ambiance of Austin. We transitioned from a fast-paced urban environment to a serene, nature-rich haven. The pivotal moment came with the acquisition of 178 acres of pristine land. Driven by our dream to create a space where others could connect with nature, we embarked on a journey that has transformed this land into the beautiful ranch retreat in Hill Country you see today.
Immerse yourself in the splendor of our 178-acre landscape in Hill Country, TX with opportunities for hiking, swimming, exploration, and so much more. Situated just a few minutes from beer gardens, wineries, and Pedernales Falls State Park, our slice of paradise can accommodate from 2 to 25 guests, making it an ideal setting to adventure and relax among nature.Spas with exotic animals, a ranch with upscale accommodations and wellness experiences… that’s what sets our Hill Country rentals apart. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Having moved from a city life in Beverly Hills to ultimately own an exotic animal ranch was not a clear and well-delineated journey. We bought the land, then needed to clear out numerous cedar trees, build roads, bring in power, erect fences, buy exotic animals…And, most importantly learn how to care for all of it.

And, then after creating the Bed and Breakfast experience, we needed to learn the world of hospitality-telling potential guests about the ranch, preparing for each unique guest experience, preparing chef-inspired meals if requested, and providing 24 x 7 support to those guests.

As a physician/scientist/Ironman Triathlete/longevity podcaster (Life Long and Well With Dr. Bobby) and Gail as a project manager/actuary, we did not have the typical background for what we built. I had never held a chain saw or used a weed whacker….and so much more,

But, we have loved everything about building the ranch and delighting our guests.
