Conversations with Sally Mazinani-Arnold

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sally Mazinani-Arnold.

Hi Sally, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi thank you for the interview. My husband and I started Enchanted Slumbers, November of 2022, we are family owned sleepover tent company that sets up beautiful custom children’s sleepover tents for all occasions. After being in the mortgage/banking field for over 10 years, then working at a preschool part-time and being a stay at home parent, my heart longed for a change that could allow me to merge my business skills with my passion to be creative.
With a little encouragement from my family, friends my husband David and his talent to do almost anything, we went out to the hardware store and started bringing our ideas to life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wish I could say it’s always been a smooth road, and in many ways it has been. I genuinely love what I do, working closely with clients and bringing their visions to life is incredibly rewarding. The biggest challenge has been balancing weekend work with my own children’s schedules while growing the business. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught me how to manage my time more intentionally, set boundaries and truly appreciate both my family and my work.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Enchanted Slumbers is a luxury children’s sleepover tent rental service specializing in beautifully curated, stress-free celebrations. We transform homes into dreamy sleepover experiences using A-frame or teepee-style tents, cozy bedding, twinkling lights, and luxury foam mattresses, not air mattresses for superior comfort. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, seamless setup and breakdown, and the magical memories we create for both children and parents.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My biggest advice is to simply show up. Attend networking events, introduce yourself, and don’t be afraid to start conversations. Consistency matters more than perfection. One thing that has worked especially well for me is responsiveness, many clients tell me I’m the first person who actually calls them back. Being present, reliable, and genuinely interested in building relationships goes a long way and often opens doors to mentorship and meaningful connections.
