Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Wargo.
Hi Paul , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After several years in the industry, I (Paul, the owner) started Dixie Tint Pros in 2021 as a subcontracting company for other automotive accessory shops that wanted to add window tint to their offerings. We opened our first retail location in Lakeway in August of 2022 and in Dripping Springs in 2023. The company has grown every year and now supports multiple employees. In August of 2025 the Dripping Springs location moved to Highway 12 and Fitzhugh Rd., next to Route 12 Filling Station and Lucky Lab Coffee.
In addition to premium window tint, we offer ceramic coatings and paint protection film to protect vehicle exteriors. We also residential and commercial window tint for your home or office.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No it hasn’t! The first 8 months after opening our first shop were really tough as we got our name out there and built a presence. I am really grateful for how I grew as a business owner during that time though.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a window tint (automotive, residential, and commercial), paint protection film, and ceramic coating shop and have been around since 2021. We are known for our extremely high quality customer service (over 270 5 star Google reviews!). This sets apart from other shops where you’re liable to deal with rudeness on the phone, unprofessionalism and disorganization, or employees who stopped caring years ago. We are proud to be owned by an Austin native and look forward to growing as a part of the community.
I want readers to know we are trying to raise the customer service bar in this industry. We have worked in shops all over town and have seen it all: customers charged for “removing” factory tint (it’s just a dyed glass and new film can be applied over it, there is nothing to remove), vehicles having cheaper film installed than what the customer paid for, and shops that refuse to stand behind their work. We try to run a business built on integrity and customer satisfaction. Try us out, you won’t be disappointed.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The fact that I love dealing with and serving people. I’m thrilled to see customers have their expectations exceeded when they see how good their vehicles look.
