Inspiring Conversations with Tony of The Attic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony.

Hi Tony, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been a life long collector and admirer of all things quality. Over the years I have acquired a lot of really interesting things, and it became obvious that I needed to share my passion with others. An opportunity in an historic building in Downtown Lockhart presented itself, and I decided to jump in to the retail vintage and antiques market. We spent 5 months refurbishing the old building and creating what is the upscale look at the Attic today. We opened our doors in July of 2025 and it’s been an amazing journey so far. The community has been welcoming and supportive, and our business continues to grow. We plan on being in Lockhart for the long haul.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Dealing with an old building that had to be remodeled was a challenge. I’ve never done hardwood floors before! It was a lot of work, but in the end the vision came to life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Attic specializes in upscale vintage and antique items. The store in highly curated, with quality and luxury goods at reasonable prices. We pride ourselves in our exquisite well organized retail presentation. We regularly receive feedback from customers saying “This store is so beautiful, I can’t believe something like this is in Lockhart”.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t give up. Failure is always an option, but don’t let it stop you. Doing something new has it’s challenges, but it pays off in the end if you stick with it. It will always cost more than you think.
