Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsie Davis.
Hi Lindsie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I always knew that I wanted to design homes. After completing my degree in Architecture at Tulane University I began my career in Colorado, eventually designing and building custom homes in the Vail area. I moved to Texas in 2010 and after designing custom homes in Houston for over a decade I moved with my family to Wimberley in 2021 and launched Verandah Residential Architects in 2024.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road worth taking is ever easy! In 2009 I was laid off from my job in Colorado due to the economic conditions. When I moved to Wimberley in 2021, I built a business from the ground up, and did it again in 2024 after launching Verandah Residential Architects. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been rewarding and I’ve been able to meet and work with a lot of wonderful people along the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in providing full service architectural services for high end custom homes, both new construction and remodels. I am most proud of my ability to listen closely to my clients, to get an understanding of who they are and of what they want and need in their homes, and to bring all of their needs and desires together in a design that exceeds their expectations. Having a background in design build, I have managed the construction of several homes and know the process for building a home of enduring quality. I am proud of my ability to work collaboratively with builders to facilitate a positive construction experience.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Treat everyone with kindness, and act with integrity.
