Meet Taylor Bradberry of Belton TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Bradberry.

Hi Taylor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Chapter & Charm started in a really ordinary, quiet way, out of my love for books and a season of life where I personally needed them more than ever.

I’ve always been a reader. Books have been my comfort, my escape, and sometimes my reset when life felt overwhelming. Between teaching, raising my kids, and juggling all the responsibilities that come with everyday life, I found myself craving small moments that felt meaningful and grounding. Reading gave me that again, and I started realizing how powerful it was to slow down and get lost in a story.

It began with wrapping books as gifts for people I love, adding little details, thoughtful touches, and making them feel special instead of just “another present.” I noticed how much joy that brought, not just to the person receiving it, but to me as well. It wasn’t really about the book itself, it was about the feeling of being seen, understood, and cared for.

I started Chapter & Charm at my kitchen table, late at night after my kids were asleep, learning as I went. I experimented, made mistakes, packed orders by hand, and slowly shared what I was creating. What surprised me most was how deeply people connected with it. They weren’t just buying books, they were gifting comfort, encouragement, and little moments of joy.

Today, Chapter & Charm is still very much a reflection of my heart. Every order is packed with intention, and every idea comes from a genuine love of storytelling and connection. This business has grown one reader at a time, and I’m incredibly grateful for how far it’s com, and for every person who’s chosen to be part of this story.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were moments when I questioned whether I should keep going, times when orders were slow, ideas didn’t land the way I hoped, or I felt stretched thin trying to balance teaching, motherhood, and building a business in the margins of my day. A lot of Chapter & Charm was built late at night, when I was already tired, and on days when self-doubt was louder than confidence.

Financially, it hasn’t always been easy. Investing in inventory, supplies, and pop-up events without knowing what the return would be was scary. There were seasons where I put in a lot of heart and effort and didn’t immediately see results, which can be discouraging as a small business owner.

I’ve also had to learn, sometimes the hard way, that growth takes time. Social media algorithms change, markets don’t always go as planned, and comparison can creep in quickly. Learning to trust my vision, stay consistent, and not measure success only by numbers has been one of the biggest challenges.

But every struggle shaped Chapter & Charm into what it is now. It taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of staying rooted in why I started in the first place. The road hasn’t been smoot, but it’s been meaningful, and I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I create hand-painted, book-centered gifts that turn stories into meaningful experiences. Everything I sell is made with intention, and I personally hand-paint every single item, no two are ever the same. Chapter & Charm is known for thoughtful details, curated book pairings, and gifts that feel personal rather than mass-produced.

What I’m most proud of is building something honest and heart-led, one reader at a time. This business has grown through word of mouth, pop-ups, and genuine connection, and I love that people trust me with their gifts and special moments. What sets Chapter & Charm apart is the care behind it all, every book, every painted piece, and every package is created as if it were meant for someone I love
