Today we’d like to introduce you to Teri Henderson.
Hi Teri, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our Story Allen & Teri Henderson Est. 1993
Brilliant. Exuberant. Luxurious.
After 33 years together, we’re the proud parents of two and doting grandparents to five. We love discovering new dining experiences and soaking up sunshine with friends and family. Originally from California, our 23-year journey with the U.S. Air Force took us around the world, allowing us to experience a rich variety of cultures and perspectives. When Allen retired in 2015 and I followed in 2020, we found ourselves ready for a new chapter. Turning my lifelong passion for photography into a shared business felt like the perfect way to begin again—combining creativity, storytelling, and the experiences that have shaped us along the way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This has been a smooth transition from retirement to photography. Following Allen’s retirement in 2015 and my own in 2020, I embarked on a new chapter rooted in a lifelong passion for photography. This journey led me to pursue a Professional Photography degree at Austin Community College, where I am currently in my final semester and will graduate in May 2026. Together, Allen and I own and operate a photography business, IconicPix creating meaningful, lasting memories for our customers.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Portraits:
My photography style is vibrant and expressive, defined by rich color, creative freedom, and a collaborative approach. Each session is an immersive experience, inviting clients to be an integral part of the creative process. The result is imagery that feels brilliant, exuberant, and effortlessly luxurious—bold yet refined, and designed to celebrate individuality while creating timeless, artful memories.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
All of the instructors at ACC played a significant role in my success. Each class was thoughtfully structured, highly professional, and the instructors consistently went above and beyond to support my growth and learning.
My biggest supporter was my husband Allen Henderson he was patient, willing to participate as my model for homework assignments in every class.
Several of my classmates were also instrumental in my success. We worked closely together, sharing diverse perspectives that enriched our learning experience. In particular, I am grateful to:

• Larry Choyce – Lechoyce Foto
