Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Craig.
Hi Julie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a nurse for over 14 years, building my career in traditional healthcare and wellness settings. Day after day, I saw patients, guided them through acute issues, chronic conditions, and preventive care—and I truly loved it. But I often felt limited in how deeply I could help them truly thrive. Too many left appointments with prescriptions or quick fixes, only to still feel exhausted, unbalanced, or just plain ‘off.’ Hormone imbalances, persistent low energy, confidence dips after major life changes—these root causes were rarely fully addressed in standard care. I watched patients grow frustrated and disenchanted, and it weighed on me.
In 2018, I pursued Functional Medicine credentials to gain more clinical skills. I wanted to practice holistically—blending solid, evidence-based medicine with truly personalized, patient-centered care. That’s when I dove headfirst into regenerative therapies, medical aesthetics, IV nutrition, body contouring, and wellness optimization. These approaches don’t just manage symptoms; they help people feel energized, renewed, and confident in their own skin again.
The spark for Nurse Julie ATX came quietly in 2020, but it really ignited after I hit burnout in traditional medicine. Juggling a new patient every 15 minutes while being expected to round at the hospital during my lunch break left me drained—and I knew patients deserved better. I realized the Austin area and surrounding communities—Georgetown, Round Rock, and beyond—needed a dedicated space for science-backed regenerative care. No rushed, one-size-fits-all medspa vibes or impersonal clinic feel. I dreamed of creating a place where people could receive compassionate, tailored programs that dig into root causes and deliver real, lasting transformation.
Launching Nurse Julie ATX wasn’t without its hurdles—I expanded my expertise into aesthetics and regenerative services, navigated the regulations, and built the practice from the ground up. Yet every challenge only deepened my commitment, especially when I heard from that first client who looked me in the eye and said, ‘I finally feel like myself again,’ or when local clinicians started referring patients and current clients shared their glowing feedback. Those moments of trust and transformation made every late night and tough decision feel profoundly worthwhile.
I officially launched in June 2025, and since then, we’ve grown quickly and steadily. Today, from our welcoming, by-appointment-only spot at 115 W. 9th St. in Georgetown, I partner with leading clinics and medspas across Central Texas to bring science-backed regenerative care to more people—offering everything from hormone optimization and peptide therapies to aesthetics that celebrate your natural beauty.
What keeps me going is witnessing the transformations—not just the physical changes, but the way people start carrying themselves with renewed vitality, energy, and self-assurance. Nurse Julie ATX isn’t just a business to me; it’s my way of giving back to the community that shaped me as a nurse and now trusts me to help them live their fullest, most vibrant lives. I’m excited for what’s ahead—expanding access, innovating new protocols, and proving every day that true wellness is deeply personal, incredibly powerful, and absolutely possible.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At Nurse Julie ATX, I specialize in regenerative wellness and holistic care, helping people in Austin and the surrounding areas restore energy, balance, and confidence through personalized, science-backed treatments. As a Family Nurse Practitioner with Functional Medicine credentials, I focus on addressing root causes rather than just symptoms, blending evidence-based medicine with compassionate, patient-centered approaches.
My core specialties include:
– Hormone optimization — Gentle, tailored support for men and women to restore hormonal balance, boost vitality, and ease issues like fatigue, mood shifts, or life-stage changes.
– Peptide therapies — Customized plans to enhance metabolism, focus, recovery, energy, and even weight management, skipping one-size-fits-all approaches and helping you optimize.
– Regenerative therapies — Such as PRP (platelet-rich plasma), exosome treatments, and other natural options to reduce inflammation, promote healing, and support overall renewal.
– Medical aesthetics and regenerative services — Treatments like microneedling with PRP, Botox, advanced facials, and the OMG Shot for men and women, targeting enhanced sensation and confidence in the bedroom.
– Non-invasive body sculpting — Cutting-edge options like T-Shape 2 (Italy’s top-selling device) to tighten skin, reduce cellulite, and contour without downtime.
– Additional supportive services — IV nutrition add-ons, B-12 injections, Lipo-Plus shots, and more for comprehensive wellness.
I’m known for creating truly individualized programs after thorough assessments, taking the time to listen, answer questions, and collaborate with clients on plans that fit their unique goals and lifestyles. Clients often tell me they appreciate the warm, unhurried environment—no rushed appointments—and the focus on lasting results that make them feel like themselves again.
