Charles Williams Custom Homes was built on a hands on foundation in Central Texas real estate and construction. Early in my career, I became deeply involved in land development, custom home building, and multifamily projects, which gave me a strong understanding of both the financial and construction sides of the industry.
I launched Charles Williams with a simple goal: deliver high quality homes with clear communication and a professional, organized client experience. Today, we focus on custom homes, remodels, and select development opportunities across Austin and the greater Central Texas region.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same. Build exceptional homes, protect our clients’ investment, and create spaces families are proud to call home.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it has not been completely smooth. Building in Central Texas comes with constant variables such as permitting timelines, market shifts, trade coordination, and material pricing.
Early on, one of the biggest challenges was building the right systems and trade relationships to consistently deliver the level of quality and communication our clients expect. There were also normal growing pains that come with scaling a construction company.
Those challenges ultimately strengthened our operation. They pushed us to become more disciplined, more selective with partners, and more proactive in managing projects, which allows us to deliver a smoother experience for our clients today.

Charles Williams Custom Homes is a Central Texas based builder focused on thoughtfully designed custom homes, high quality remodels, and select development projects. We are especially known for our work in midcentury inspired architecture. That style works exceptionally well in Central Texas because of the indoor outdoor way of life. The simplicity, clean lines, minimalism, and focus on quality materials create homes that feel open, intentional, and built for the landscape around them.
What sets us apart is our hands on approach and clear communication throughout the build process. We prioritize detailed planning, disciplined project management, and strong collaboration with our architects and trade partners so clients always know where their project stands.
Brand wise, we are most proud of the trust we have built across Central Texas. Our focus is simple. Deliver exceptional work, protect our clients’ investment, and create homes that stand the test of time.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories was growing up in Southern California and spending time on the lake in Canyon Lake. Being around the water and the outdoor lifestyle at a young age had a big impact on me. It taught me to appreciate well designed spaces, great views, and environments where people naturally gather and enjoy life together. Those early experiences still influence how I think about homes and communities today.
