Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Facio.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi , My name is Jose I’m 40 years old from Mexico, I arrived to the United States in September 2015 the first thing I thought when I got here it was that this country was full of opportunities but at the same time I understood it was full of challenges. My father taught me to work hard and never give up easily I’ve had this belief in my mind since I was child.
I started working as a general assistant at my brother-in-law’s painting company with him I learned the basic processes of professional painting we worked on residential homes in these projects I learned to work with the highest quality standards with high-value clients. After working for two years with my brother-in-laws I decided it was time to move to the next level acquired new clients and close deals with homeowners for professional painting jobs by myself.
I worked hard to improve my English by taking classes in the afternoon I had to find a way to contact the homeowners started working as favor delivery food in my free times that was the first way to contact the homeowners and practice my English. After that I started working on platform apps like home advisor, thumbtack pro, task rabbit, Angi list as a professional painter and handyman eventually I gained many new clients and they recommended me to their friends, family and acquaintances.
In every project I completed put all my dedication, wisdom, knowledge and heart into ensuring my client was satisfied and from there new clients emerged. Now, I’m not stop here still learning new skills taking classes in HVAC at ACC I tried to be better every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Learning English was a challenge also negotiated the prices with the customers.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a professional painter in residential homes, applying paint, varnish, stains or other finishes using brushes, rollers and sprayers. Mixing and matching paint colors for custom jobs . Covering furniture, floors , and trim to protect them from paint splatter.
I work organized and clean and that is so important when working with paint. I applying high-quality finishes while following safety regulations, ensuring clean, durable and precise results for residential or commercial projects.
I’m always improve and invest in my training education to get new skills.
